Xerafy and VUEMED reached a strategic cooperation on medical supply chain solutions

Medical institutions and medical equipment suppliers are facing increasing pressure to improve the visibility and accuracy of their inventory. Medical companies need to obtain reliable technology, meet new regulations, reduce costs, and improve patient prognosis. In response, Xerafy and VUEMED reached a strategic cooperation on medical supply chain solutions.

Xerafy has expanded its medical supply chain technology solutions by establishing a new partnership with Seattle VUEMED. The two companies collaborate to track and manage medical equipment and consumables.

VUEMED has created a new clinical data collection solution that combines barcodes and UHF Gen2 passive RFID and RAIN RFID technologies to support Xerafy RFID tag technology. The automated identification solution consists of VUEMED cloud-based data reporting and analysis tools and a product database that complies with FDA UDI specifications.

The combination of VUEMED solution and Xerafy RFID technology provides a single platform for medical device tracking in compliance with FDA UDI regulations. The FDA requires that the added list of medical devices include unique identifiers to improve the tracking of these devices, assist in recalls, and generate historical data on the devices from the point of manufacture to the point of use. RFID data will play a key role in ensuring compliance and help manufacturers and hospitals use UDI data to improve their internal operations.

The two companies presented their new solutions for the first time at the Annual Medical Resources and Materials Management Conference (AHRMM) in August. At the exhibition, VUEMED’s VueTrack and VueScan Saas software combined with Xerafy tags to achieve real-time tracking.

Medical institutions can use integrated systems to reduce the waste of perishable medical products and reduce purchases by improving corporate safety inventory levels.

VUEMED has also launched its new VueTrack-Mobile application, the RFID suite that the business owner promotes conforms to the UDI specification, including VueTrack-UDI and VueTrack-RF.
