On May 15th, the scientific research project of “RFID Anti-counterfeiting Application in Outbound Wooden Packaging” undertaken by the Animal and Plant Inspection and Quarantine Technology Center of Shenzhen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and Shenzhen Advanced Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences passed the appraisal and became the first application of RFID technology in the country and even in the world. To the anti-counterfeiting of the wooden packaging IPPC logo.
RFID technology is called electronic radio frequency identification technology, which is a non-contact automatic identification technology. Researchers use RFID technology combined with the remote network supervision system for wooden packaging of outbound goods to develop an anti-counterfeiting system for outbound wooden packaging PPC identification. Using this system, inspection and quarantine personnel can identify and supervise the authenticity of outbound wooden packaging IPPC marks in real time without being restricted by time and space, and prevent wooden packaging that has not been inspected, quarantined or processed from being smuggled out of the country, thereby avoiding export goods. The IPPC mark does not meet the requirements of the importing country and is returned, which effectively solves the problems of wood packaging mark IPPC anti-counterfeiting, wood packaging product flow supervision and traceability investigation. At the same time, the system also provides a friendly interface for export companies to add cargo logistics information, which will help improve the quality and efficiency of inspections by inspection and quarantine departments, and improve the rapid customs clearance of exported goods. After practical application, the anti-counterfeiting performance is effective and reliable.
On the same day, an expert appraisal committee composed of 7 experts including Wang Xianfu, deputy director of the Information Center of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and Gong Huixing, academician of the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, formed an expert appraisal committee to appraise the project. Experts unanimously believe that the research results fill the gaps in the research of my country’s outbound wooden packaging label anti-counterfeiting system, and have a certain degree of creativity, providing important technical means for the competent authority to supervise outbound wooden packaging. The project has reached the international advanced level in the field of wood packaging supervision.
