On the basis of full investigation and learning from the successful experience of using campus cards of brother colleges, the communication network center, finance department and ICBC Gansu branch cooperated to launch the Lanzhou University campus card management for the first time on the Yuzhong campus in September 2001. 1. Overview of Lanzhou University Campus Card
The Lanzhou University campus card is composed of two cards: the campus “One Card” and the ICBC Peony Money Link Card. The campus “all-in-one card” (Figure 1) uses the IC card as the electronic identity carrier to realize the management of all teachers, students and staff related to identity authentication through the campus network and various consumer activities (such as school status, attendance, access control, book borrowing, For medical treatment, dining, shopping on campus, etc.), fund deposit and withdrawal and social consumption can be realized through ICBC Peony Money Link Card. The campus card adopts a unified standard code, and the personal code is unique throughout life. There is a one-to-one correspondence between the campus “all-in-one card” and the Peony Money Link Card, and the transfer of funds from the Peony Money Link Card to the campus “all-in-one card” is realized through the transfer machine.

Lanzhou University campus card management system is a unified campus network-based multi-functional card application management system that integrates school management and financial services, and realizes bank savings, campus identity authentication management, and consumer payment functions. The overall structure of the Lanzhou University campus card management system can be summarized into three functional modules and more than ten management systems (Figure 3). After hard work, we have successfully completed the construction of the financial platform, campus card management platform and some internal management platforms and have been put into operation. Other internal management platforms are also under development and construction.
2. Campus Card Application
Lanzhou University campus card application functions are divided into two parts, namely, financial functions and management functions.
1. Financial function: Freshmen can receive their personal Peony Money Link Card and corresponding passbook at the same time as they receive the admission notice. They can complete the deposit business through the passbook locally, and complete the related payment work through the Peony Money Link Card after arriving at school, effectively avoiding carrying them. Inconvenience caused by large amounts of cash or remittance through the post office. You can receive the campus “all-in-one card” printed with your own photos within three days after you enter the journal (Figure 1).
Starting in March this year, the salaries of school employees will be sent directly to the Peony Money Link Card through the bank. All teachers, students and staff can use the campus “all-in-one card” to conduct various consumption activities on campus (including dining in the canteen, shopping in the supermarket, and commuter car payment, etc.). With the Peony Money Link Card, you can deposit and withdraw money at any ICBC business outlet in the city, make direct purchases in major shopping malls in the city, and withdraw money from ICBC automatic teller machines (ATMs) nationwide. It solves the inconvenience that teachers and students carry large amounts of cash when they travel. More importantly, cashless consumption has been realized in the school, which provides a reliable guarantee for standardizing school financial management.
With the development and construction of online shopping and online payment systems, the financial functions of campus cards will be more extensive, providing great convenience for the life and work of faculty and staff.
2. Management function: The Lanzhou University campus “all-in-one card” uses the current mainstream product in the world’s non-contact IC (Integrated Circuit) smart radio frequency card – PHILIPS’s Mifare 1 non-contact IC smart radio card. The card has a unique card serial number, built-in 8K (bit) EEPROM storage capacity and is divided into 16 sectors, each sector is divided into 4 data storage blocks, each sector can be managed by a variety of passwords, Therefore, it has extremely high security and reliability, and can realize one card with multiple functions and one card with multiple functions.
The management functions that have been developed and put into use are:
① Online query of consumption bills: You can query your own consumption records on the campus network through the campus network account corresponding to the campus “all-in-one card”;
② Campus e-mail self-service application and self-service inquiry: students with campus “all-in-one card” can go to the communication network center business counter, self-service and apply for a Lanzhou University e-mail address for free, open it immediately, and try it on site (opened when freshmen enroll); student e-mail self-service The inquiry system has been opened, and equipment has been installed in the teaching building of the Yuzhong campus. Students can use the campus “all-in-one card” to read their own e-mails nearby in their spare time. We will also open a self-service e-mail inquiry system for faculty and staff.
③ Centralized registration of students: every semester starts, students can use the campus “all-in-one card” to register with the student management department immediately, reducing the pressure and personnel and capital investment of each department when opening journals, and can instantly summarize student arrivals;
④ Book borrowing: borrow books at any book borrowing window at the headquarters, a branch, Yuzhong campus, etc. with the campus “all-in-one card”, which has replaced the original library card;
The management functions currently under development and construction include:
①Access control management: Cardholders can enter and exit the school gate by swiping their cards, and according to their management authority, they can swipe their cards to enter public places corresponding to their identities (such as classrooms, libraries, office buildings, dormitory buildings, etc.), which greatly reduces the labor intensity of management personnel.
②On-line attendance: Through the card reader devices deployed in different places on the campus network, the campus “all-in-one card” can be used to attend attendance; this function can also be applied to conference sign-in and so on. The system records the attendance time and location, and can provide inquiries;
In addition, other information query and management functions corresponding to personal identities, such as student academic performance, credits, elective courses, student status changes, etc., the teaching work, scientific research projects, funding, and thesis status of the majority of teachers also need the support of relevant departments And help to realize the connection between the department management system and the campus “all-in-one card” platform as soon as possible.
3. Campus card security guarantee system
The Lanzhou University campus “all-in-one card” is an electronic identity carrier for the majority of teachers, students and employees of our school, and it is also an electronic wallet for everyone. In addition to the security of the media itself, we have also strengthened the daily management of campus cards and security measures.
1. Since the campus “all-in-one card” is for direct consumption, in order to fully consider the interests of consumers, we have restricted the deposit limit. The student card is 300 yuan, and the teacher card is 500 yuan. If the fee is insufficient, it will be transferred from the Moneylink card;

3. All kinds of equipment for campus cards are distributed in various departments and public places of the school. They are an important infrastructure of the school and are directly related to everyone’s work and life. Please cherish and take care of them.
The construction and promotion of the campus card management system is a basic work of our school’s education information construction, which involves various units of the school and the majority of teachers and students, and the tasks are heavy and difficult. The full implementation of the campus card management system will gradually replace all kinds of school certificates (such as medical certificates, work permits, etc.), and truly realize the “all-in-one card”.
