RFID smart manhole covers make road management safer
[ad_1]
With the rapid development of urban infrastructure construction, municipal management work is becoming more and more diversified, and public underground pipeline facilities such as communications, gas, water supply, drainage, heating, and electricity in the city are also increasing. The management of the manhole covers of various underground pipeline facilities on urban roads has also become one of the links of concern. If the city’s pavement manhole covers are not well managed, it will cause great safety hazards to citizens’ travel and vehicles on the road. RFID radio frequency technology plays a very important role in the management and control of manhole covers on urban roads, realizes the effective traceability supervision and management of manhole covers, and will vigorously maintain the safety of roads and ground wells.
Municipal engineering is a major project related to people’s livelihood. In the process of advancing the construction of smart cities, the intelligentization of municipal facilities is also an important part of the advancing process. With the increasing maturity of RFID radio frequency identification technology, RFID applications have penetrated into every corner of life. The intelligent management of the manhole cover makes full use of the long transmission distance of active 2.4GHz RFID and the low cost of passive UHF RFID tags without power supply, to establish a reliable and low-cost dual-frequency RFID intelligent management system. It is applied to the cellar manhole cover of the municipal system to realize the complete functions of the cellar manhole cover timing report, abnormal displacement report and manual inspection path planning. Due to man-made and natural factors, the management of cellar covers in municipal engineering has always been a thorny problem. RFID technology has effectively solved the casualties and property losses that may be caused by the missing cellar covers.
The whole scheme consists of two parts: RFID system and back-end business system. Among them, the active RFID integrated reader and the handheld UHF RFID handset, under normal circumstances, the RFID card actively sends a handshake signal to the integrated reader every 1 hour, and the integrated reader sends the data to the background after collecting information With the server, the staff can check the condition of all cellar manhole covers through the monitoring terminal. The handheld device is used for manual routine inspections. The staff conducts inspections according to the route set by the handheld device and records abnormal conditions. When the pit cover is moved abnormally, the RFID card will send the abnormal information to the integrated reader in real time, and the integrated reader will forward the abnormal information to the back-end server for analysis in real time.
(1) RFID electronic tags can be packaged into various forms according to the requirements of use, and can adapt to various harsh environments such as oil stains, dust pollution, and rain washing. Therefore, for equipment that is often used outdoors, the use of RFID tags as asset identification can effectively solve the damage to the tags in the outdoor environment and ensure the safety and reliability of the manhole cover data.
(2) Radio frequency technology uses radio carrier communication technology to realize data exchange, which can realize non-contact and invisible reading of tag information. Moreover, RFID tags can store data and write data repeatedly up to 100,000 times. In the manhole cover management, the shell is closed after installation and commissioning, and it cannot be opened without special reasons.
(3) Using RFID electronic tags as the manhole cover tag card, key data such as the main information of the manhole cover can also be recorded in the tag. Because each RFID electronic tag has a globally unique ID number, the ID number is written in the ROM process mode during the production of the integrated circuit and cannot be changed. Therefore, the RFID electronic tag cannot be copied or exchanged. During the inventory, the handheld device can be used to read the data of the RFID electronic tags installed inside the device without opening the device casing, and at the same time, grasp the key information of the manhole cover. RFID electronic tags are installed inside the equipment, which is more secure and confidential. Under normal conditions, the detailed information of the device can be grasped in time by reading the label information. Because the RFID electronic tags cannot be imitated, the information of the manhole cover can be checked in time to quickly grasp the loss of the manhole cover.
(4) The manhole cover management system with radio frequency technology has been added to further strengthen the monitoring of manhole covers, ensure the safety of assets, and ensure the integrity, accuracy and reliability of asset data.
Through RFID radio frequency technology, each manhole cover and well location are given an RFID electronic tag for information binding. If the manhole cover is found to be lost, only need to scan the RFID electronic tag to immediately identify the property right unit and reinstall the manhole cover in the shortest time . Each manhole cover has an RFID electronic label, which is also convenient for inspection and management. RFID technology realizes traceable supervision and effective asset management, which facilitates the institutionalized management of relevant departments.
