The safety of agricultural products can be traced from the “field” to the table
At the beginning of this year, Gaoming District established the development concept of “smart agriculture” for the first time. The proposal of “smart agriculture” allowed the district to find a realistic breakthrough point in the implementation of Foshan’s construction of “Four Modernizations and Smart Foshan”.
Gaoming is a large agricultural region in Guangdong Province. There are nearly 200,000 mu of arable land in the area, and more than 100,000 rural residents still rely on farming. At the same time, Gaoming is also an important agricultural product production base in the Pearl River Delta. It has a pollution-free production base of 120,000 mu, 15 pollution-free agricultural products brands, and 4 agricultural standardization demonstration areas above the provincial level. The foundation for agricultural development is solid.
Gaoming has the necessary and conditions to combine traditional agriculture with modern information technology through the development of smart agriculture to promote agricultural efficiency and farmers’ income. According to this plan, in the next five years, Gaoming will successively establish intelligent agricultural hardware facilities, agricultural information platforms, intelligent agricultural production demonstration bases, “smart agriculture” network service platforms, and the development of intelligent urban tourism and leisure agriculture.
Among them, the district plans to introduce information industry technology projects such as the Internet of Things, QR codes, and RFID from this year, and apply them to the certification of origin and various links in agricultural production, processing, circulation, testing, and logistics. “Smart Agriculture” Helps “Hematopoiesis” in Old Areas

At the end of last year, Foshan started an action to feed back the old revolutionary areas of Gaoming.
