Smart public transportation technology case

The purpose of the intelligent public transportation system is to technically implement the strategy of prioritizing the development of public transportation through the technical transformation of the traditional public transportation system with information technology, improve the service level and management level of the public transportation system, and strive to achieve urban passenger transportation. It occupies a large share of the transportation volume, achieves the efficient use of urban land space resources and energy, ensures the safe operation of the system, and provides high-quality passenger transportation services.
New problems in urban public transportation safety are highlighted
Looking back at the sixty years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the safety conditions of urban public transportation in my country have undergone earth-shaking changes, and the safety situation of urban public transportation has been greatly improved. With the help of science and technology, we have applied new technologies such as GPS positioning, GIS geographic information, wireless communication and network to public transportation safety management, and gradually realized management functions such as intelligent dispatching, safety control, and automatic positioning and reporting, which are effective Improve the service level of public transportation and improve the safety performance of public transportation. Such as observing the passengers getting on and off the vehicle through the monitor, avoiding the accidents that often occur before the door is pinched due to unclear observation.
However, the rapid expansion of urban public transportation has caused us to constantly encounter new problems while solving old problems, which plagues our traffic safety.
First of all, in most cities in my country, the growth rate of motor vehicles is much higher than the speed of transportation infrastructure construction. The primary problem caused by this is high traffic congestion. In this case, once public traffic safety is affected by an emergency, it is relatively difficult to evacuate and rescue people, and improper handling will cause huge personal and property losses, which will have a significant impact on social economy and life. For example, on May 5, 2008, Shanghai 842 bus fire broke out, 3 people were killed and 12 people were injured; on July 21, 2008, Kunming bus had two explosions, 2 people were killed and 14 people were injured; June 5, 2009 The Chengdu No. 9 bus arson incident, with 27 deaths and 74 injuries, all prove that we still have a long way to go in building public transportation safety.
Secondly, the public security situation on the bus is still grim. Pickpocketing, robbery and other cases are the most common on buses. Although the police have taken many measures, it is difficult to find evidence after pickpocketing on the bus. Difficulties in identification, arrest, and conviction are often encountered. Therefore, it is still impossible to effectively deter thieves. At this stage, from a certain perspective, whether public transportation is safe or not has become a barometer for the general public to gauge the quality of urban security.
Third, disputes between passengers and operators due to issues such as fare evasion and service attitudes continue to occur throughout the country. Once a dispute arises, it is difficult to obtain evidence, and it is easy to form a situation of different opinions. At the same time, in the course of bus operation, the driver and passengers are prone to steal the fare and take advantage of the public funds to be their own, causing losses to the bus company.
Finally, how to supervise whether the driver regulates driving. How to grasp the changes in passenger flow in real time, so as to dispatch vehicle capacity in time, so as to obtain the best operational efficiency. These are also thorny issues that bus company managers encounter on a daily basis. In addition, with the development of society and economy, the number of motor vehicles is increasing, and the number of gas stations and car stations is also increasing. The geographical locations of gas stations and car stations are scattered, with many outlets, and management and monitoring exist. Certainly difficult.
Smart public transportation technology case
In response to the above situation, the passenger transport departments in various parts of the country are actively looking for countermeasures, and the continuous use of scientific and technological means to improve the current status of public transportation safety has become a consensus in all aspects. In this regard, the public transportation video surveillance system jointly constructed by a public transportation company in Guizhou Province and China Unicom provides a positive reference for the construction of public transportation safety in various places.
1. Using wireless network hemisphere device
In terms of in-car monitoring, Unicom God Eye uses a wireless network hemisphere device, which can transmit the image and GPS data of the vehicle location through the wireless network to the wireless base station of the operator, and then transmit it to the central management platform through the Internet. The command and dispatch center can obtain images and GPS data of all vehicles from the central management platform. Users can also watch videos of any vehicle through their mobile phones. The central management platform analyzes the aggregated GPS information of each vehicle, and can calculate the estimated time for a specific vehicle to arrive at a certain platform at any time. This information is then transmitted to a specific electronic stop sign unit via a wireless network, and the estimated arrival time of the nearest vehicle can be displayed on the LED display of each platform. According to the requirements of the bus company, technicians placed an explosion-proof infrared color wide-angle network dome camera on the back of the driver to monitor the position of the coin box and the driver. In this way, it is possible to view the driver’s regulated driving situation, the coin insertion of passengers and the appearance of passengers on the bus in real time, prevent theft and evasion of tickets, monitor the stealing of tickets by drivers and passengers, and provide video evidence for flight attendant disputes. In addition, the technician has also placed an alarm button in the driving position. When this button is pressed in an emergency, the monitoring center will receive an alarm prompt. The monitoring personnel can check the image of the car to understand the condition of the vehicle. The on-board unit can also be connected to a microphone and speaker as needed to realize two-way intercom between the driver and the monitoring center.
2. Monitoring of bus stations
In terms of bus station monitoring, Unicom Shenyan designed to install a day and night smart low-speed dome camera (SN-WP580PT/18W) on the street light stand of each station according to the actual situation of the station and the needs of customers: the smart low-speed dome camera mainly monitors For activities near the site, the network transmission equipment adopts Jingyang 1 network video server (SN-VSR5401); the transmission network adopts wireless WCDMA network. In terms of equipment power supply, all sites are powered by batteries, the low-speed ball is powered by AC24V batteries, and the network video server is powered by DC12V batteries. When street lights are turned on at night, special charging equipment is used to charge the batteries to ensure normal operation of the equipment during the day.
3. Gas station monitoring
In terms of bus station monitoring, according to the actual situation of the site, Unicom God Eye designed to install 2 day and night smart low-speed dome cameras (SN-WP580PT/18W) at important locations such as the refueling area of each gas station, vehicle entrance and exit; smart low-speed dome The camera mainly monitors the activities in the refueling area of the entire gas station. The network transmission equipment adopts Jingyang four-channel network video server (SN-VSR5404), with 2 channels as backup; the transmission network adopts Unicom 2M broadband. The equipment at each business outlet is powered by 220V AC power supply.
4. Parking lot monitoring
Deploy a monitoring system for bus parking lots. Unicom Shenyan installed a day and night smart low-speed dome camera (SN-WP580PT/18W) in each important location of the bus company’s parking lot; it is mainly used to monitor the internal activities of the entire parking lot; the network transmission equipment uses Jingyang No. 1 Network video server (SN-VSR5401); the transmission network adopts Unicom 2M broadband. The system consists of two parts, the front-end monitoring equipment of each parking lot and the remote monitoring center. Among them, each parking lot connects the image of each camera to the local DVS (that is, the network video server), and the analog image is digitally compressed through the DVS and then uploaded to the remote monitoring center through a dedicated line or broadband network; the remote monitoring center is equipped with a certain amount of monitoring Manage the computer, perform monitoring, recording, management and other functions.
