The Fangshan Line Project of Beijing Rail Transit was opened at the end of December 2010. The initial line is 24.79 kilometers long and has 11 stations. The line starts at the intersection of Changhong West Road and Suzhuang Street in the south of Liangxiang City, that is, Suzhuang Street Station. Located at Fengtai Guogongzhuang Station, connecting with Metro Line 9. Other bus stations include Nanguan, Dongyangzhuang, University Town, University of Science and Technology, Guangyang City, Changyang West, Changyang Town, Daotian, World Park Station. Among them, there are 9 elevated stations and 2 underground stations; the average distance between stations is 2.3 kilometers. One ground vehicle depot is set up across the line to connect to Suzhuang Street Station; the backup control center is located at one control center in Yancun Depot.
challenge
As the main component of the capital Beijing’s public transportation, the Beijing Subway is responsible for fast, effective, and safe transportation of people. Therefore, it places extremely strict requirements on the access control system.
The rail transit system has the characteristics of long lines, many stations, and few managers. Depots and stations are the core control and management areas for the operation of the urban rail system, and most rooms are unattended. In order to ensure the normal and safe operation of the urban rail system, it is necessary to effectively prevent unauthorized personnel from entering restricted areas, and to install access control systems in the main equipment management rooms of stations, section substations, parking lots, and depots. The main purpose of the access control management system is to ensure that these important areas such as the computer room area, office area, equipment area, automatic ticket vending system machine room and automatic ticket vending system ticket management room, integrated monitoring equipment room, special communication equipment room and equipment in public areas The safety of personnel, and the unified monitoring and management of the access doors and equipment management rooms of the station equipment management area to improve the level of operation and management.
The access control system has a long running distance and large scale. The cardholder information and access control strategies of all access points need to be centralized in the control center of the access control system, so the stability of the system and the rationality of the design are high. In addition, the installation environment of rail transit access control systems is complex, such as installation on narrow door frames, access gates, and glass surfaces. The products need to be suitable for various installation environments and must have good anti-electromagnetic interference capabilities. In addition, most subway equipment is installed in underground or indoor spaces, so there are strict requirements for the fire resistance and flame retardancy of the equipment.
solution
HID Global adopts a distributed network structure of two-level management and three-level control based on the characteristics of a wide range of rail transit systems and a small number of managers.
Two-level management: divided into central and station management levels. The central-level access control management station is set in the depot control center, including the central server, central authorized management workstation, central-level management workstation and system software, etc. It mainly monitors the operating status of station-level equipment; conducts authorization management, sets access control card usage rights and The management authority of the operation administrator; realizes the management of the access control function of the entire depot and the data maintenance of the entire system. The station-level access control management station is set up in each station control room, including the station-level management workstation (with database, report, query and other functions), main controller, printer, communication interface equipment and system software. Its function is mainly to display the status of the station’s access control equipment, and timely display the entry and exit status of each door and the use of access card information, and can query or control any access control equipment at the station. The central management level and the station management level are connected to the central server through the network (supporting TCP/IP protocol) provided by the communication system to establish a two-way data channel based on the IP network.
This method allows centralized management of each station, which is in line with the top-down management process of the enterprise. The central management level can manage and view the access control functions of all stations in the system, which meets the enterprise’s requirements for improving management flexibility and coping with network failures. At the same time, each station management level can independently manage and control the access control system within its jurisdiction; ensure that each station-level system does not depend on the external communication environment and service environment, and can operate without the central server network, even if the subway communication backbone network occurs Failure, it can effectively access the access control function in the jurisdiction, and after the communication is restored, all event information will be uploaded to the central management station to achieve real-time data transmission and effective monitoring.
Three-level control: refers to PC remote control, each station access control main controller (V1000) control, local controller (V100) control. PC remote control can be used in some high-security places, and it is manually released after confirmation by the personnel of the management center; the main controller control is suitable for conventional access control management; the local controller is suitable for the local controller and cannot communicate with the main controller At the time, emergency management of the managed access control equipment. Each station access control main controller V1000 manages the local-level access control equipment V100 through the loop bus embedded with the line detection function to ensure that the normal operation of the access control system will not be affected by a single point of failure. Send out an alarm signal.

The central server integrates the scattered station-level databases to form a complete overall database. This database covers access control management data and event data of each site, and can complete data viewing, modification, and report production. Setting up an overall database can avoid the problems caused by the previous distributed data processing: 1) When the subway communication backbone network communication is normal, all data queries, changes, additions and reductions need to be directly operated on the database of each station-level system. The timeliness of data transmission causes pressure, and at the same time increases a lot of data query traffic, resulting in a waste of bandwidth resources; 2) When the subway communication backbone network cannot communicate, the central management level will not be able to query and set the access control functions of each station.
Under a reasonable system architecture, HID Global provides users with products that have passed many world-renowned certifications such as UL, FCC, CE, ROHS, etc., by ensuring stable product quality and reliable operation, providing stable operation of the access control system Assure. For example, HID Global’s VertX® controller provides a mean time between failures of more than 1 million hours, and has weather resistance measures such as waterproofing to adapt to the underground damp working environment. The product shells are all certified by UL94 The safe material is fire-resistant and flame-retardant. In addition, the iCLASS ®R10 card reader provides users with a lifetime warranty after-sales commitment, helping users solve the problem of equipment maintenance.
Customer Reviews
HID’s access control management system adopts a master/slave two-level design, which meets the requirements of the rail transit system for the access control system; at the same time, the design of the loop bus also guarantees the high security of the system; in addition, most of the rail transit access control systems It is installed and used outdoors, underground, and in environments with high electromagnetic interference. HID products also have outstanding advantages in anti-interference and equipment protection design to ensure the stable operation of the system.
