Beginning this year, the construction of the third phase of the urban road traffic monitoring system has started, and the Yinzhou Central District, the Eastern New City, the National High-tech Zone, the western part of Haishu District, and the northern part of Jiangbei District will also be integrated into the scope of intelligent traffic management.
After the completion of the third phase of the monitoring system, the number of controlled intersections will reach about 500, and the control area will reach 140 square kilometers. The intelligent traffic monitoring system will ease the “traffic difficulties” in the central city and improve the ability of public security prevention and control.
Electronic screen: tell the driver which road is clearer
Since April 2005, the Traffic Police Detachment of Ningbo Public Security Bureau has actively used social resources to rely on Ningbo’s existing GPS positioning system for more than 3,000 taxis to start road traffic information collection and development based on FCD (floating car data) technology. Ningbo has more than 2,000 sets of off-site traffic illegal automatic monitoring systems such as highway smart bayonet systems, automatic monitoring systems for crossing red lights and illegal lane changes, zebra crossing monitoring systems, and speed measurement systems. The continuous improvement of the off-site law enforcement system has expanded the scope of law enforcement, enhanced law enforcement capabilities, formed a strong deterrent to potential traffic offenders, and eased the contradiction of insufficient police force.
