RFID technology is currently bringing about a huge change in the field of warehouse logistics. With its incomparable advantages such as repeated use, long identification distance, fast reading and writing, not easy to damage, and large storage capacity, it is gradually being widely adopted. RFID technology simplifies the complicated operation process and effectively improves the production efficiency, so it has laid an important foundation for the construction of the warehouse management system.

Shaanxi China Tobacco Chengcheng Cigarette Factory combines its own reality, adopts RFID technology in the finished product warehousing link, uses the advantages of RFID, combines the warehouse management system and the forklift vehicle terminal system to automatically complete warehousing and warehousing operations, and is for the National Tobacco Monopoly Bureau in cigarette production, Complete pallet combined transportation in the sales link will do a good job in infrastructure construction.

 1. The main process

The finished product warehouse of Chengcheng Cigarette Factory is divided into three components: an inbound area, an intensive storage area and an outbound area. The finished cigarettes transported from the production line are delivered to the palletizing robot through the warehousing sorting line, and the palletizing robot stacks the cigarettes on the pallet, 30 cigarettes per pallet. After the code plate is completed, RFID records the cigarette information, and then applies to the warehouse management scheduling system for warehousing. The vehicle-mounted terminal reads and writes the RFID, allocates the cargo location, and completes the warehousing business after checking that the cargo location label is correct; when leaving the warehouse, the warehouse management scheduling system The issued outbound order runs waves to generate outbound tasks, the forklift obtains the tasks, and checks the pallet electronic tags to complete the pallet outbound tasks. In the warehousing management process, inventory and quality inspection procedures can also be carried out through RFID.

  2. RFID design scheme of warehousing system

In order to achieve the above process design and the automated application of RFID in the storage of finished cigarettes, the above project design installs an electronic tag reader on the forklift, and installs an on-board terminal and a Bluetooth scanner. During the in and out of the warehouse, the forklift is directly lifted into the bottom of the pallet. The reader reads the tag data within the set distance, connects to the warehouse management system through the vehicle-mounted terminal, obtains the data, checks the data, and finally completes the warehousing task. The RFID process design is shown in Figure 2.

 3. Information system design

Automated RFID warehouse management focuses on the design and implementation of information systems. This project mainly includes three subsystem modules: warehouse management system WMS, logistics dispatch system WCS, and vehicle terminal system, as shown in Figure 3.

The Application of RFID Technology in the Storage Management System of Cigarette Finished Products

The warehouse management system includes functional modules such as warehousing management, order management, shifting management, on-shelf management, off-shelf management, cross-docking management, quality inspection, early warning management, material management, inventory, warehousing diversion settings, and cargo location management. Waves, strategic tasks, etc. complete the storage and delivery functions of finished cigarettes.

WMS sends the generated inbound and outbound tasks to the WCS system. WCS splits the tasks, controls the cigarette conveyor line, transports the goods to the robot for palletizing and grouping, writing RFID information, and dispatching the pallets to the warehouse entrance. Notify the vehicle-mounted terminal to pick up and put the goods into the warehouse.

The vehicle-mounted terminal system is responsible for processing the warehouse on-site inbound and outbound operations, including on-site operation functions such as shelf tasks, outbound tasks, quality inspection tasks, inventory tasks, and warehouse removal tasks.

The following is the process analysis of the main business:

1. Warehousing business process analysis

Figure 4 describes how to use RFID in the warehousing business process, combined with information systems and automated logistics equipment, to complete the warehousing process.

(1) Binding the grade and sorting crossing information in WMS in advance, and sending the binding information to the inbound sorting system through WCS;

(2) The cigarettes are automatically palletized in the logistics line, and WCS collects the barcode data of the cigarettes and writes them into the RFID;

(3) WCS dispatches the pallet to the forklift pickup port and informs the forklift to pick up the goods;

(4) When the forklift arrives at the pick-up port, the electronic tag ID number is read through the electronic tag reader installed on the forklift, the WMS interface is called, and the WMS allocates the cargo space and generates the warehouse task;

(5) The forklift carries the pallet to the designated warehouse, scans the electronic tag of the cargo location through the on-board RFID reader, checks the cargo location, completes the warehousing task, and updates the inventory by WMS.

2. Analysis of the outbound business process

Figure 5 describes how to use RFID, combined with information systems and automated logistics equipment in the outbound operations, to complete the outbound business process.

(1) Establish outbound documents and run waves in WMS, and the system allocates cargo locations by setting outbound principles to generate outbound tasks;

(2) The vehicle-mounted terminal obtains the task generated by the WMS and guides the operator to the designated cargo location;

(3) The vehicle-mounted terminal checks the electronic label of the pallet. If the check is correct, the outbound task will be completed. If the check is unsuccessful, it will prompt the operator and then take the goods again.

  Fourth, the implementation effect

Chengcheng Cigarette Factory implements a finished product storage management system, adopts advanced RFID technology and wireless network technology to maximize the collection, query and update of inbound and outbound data in the warehouse in real time, quickly and accurately, and utilize efficient servers/clients Machine mode and local data inspection mode enable the system to quickly respond to inbound and outbound operations. The application of advanced information technology and modern warehouse management mode to the management and operation of finished cigarettes improves the existing warehouse management level and work efficiency, and ensures the accuracy of finished cigarette warehouse management and the timely update of information. In the past, the use of paper to record and transmit information has truly realized the modernization and automation of warehouse management.

The warehouse management system uses RFID to participate in process management and realizes the tracking of the whole process of cargo location management. The whole process management of warehousing operations has improved the utilization efficiency of cargo space and the efficiency and accuracy of performance appraisal of work teams. RFID is mainly aimed at the warehousing link, and the application is more systematic. It runs through all links such as warehousing, warehousing, inventory, and outbound. The technology is also more advanced; at the same time, the introduction of RFID middleware has strong scalability, convenience and various The docking between systems; Finally, in the cargo location management, by quoting the cargo location electronic tags, the technological advancement is much higher than that of bar codes and electronic display screens. RFID technology runs through the entire process and improves the accuracy of warehouse management.
