TAGSYS is the world’s leading supplier of item-level RFID infrastructure. It recently announced that Throttleman, a famous Portuguese fashion house, has successfully integrated RFID technology into all links of its supply chain. Through RFID technology, the speed at which the signature knife-edge fashion of this fashion house can be sent to various retail stores can be greatly accelerated.
Throttleman signed a contract with the system integrator Creativesystems to request a customized RFID solution, which should be able to comprehensively improve the speed and efficiency of Throttleman’s supply chain. Creativesystems cooperated with TAGSYS, using the other party’s TAGSYS UHF RFID channel with 99.9% reading accuracy to complete this task.
Creativesystems also collaborated with Sybase (for middleware) and Paxar (for labels) to complete this task. After the tagged fashion is sent from the production plant to the distribution center, it takes only a few seconds to scan and read the detailed information of the internal tags of each boxed fashion using the UHF RFID channel of TAGSYS. Then the channel will automatically compare the scan results of the boxed fashion with the contents of the cover of the box, and if an error occurs, an alarm will sound to request re-checking. With this device, the time that goods stay in the distribution center can be shortened by 5 days. Retailers can thus replenish goods faster and more accurately and increase sales.
Elie Simon, President and CEO of TAGSYS, said: “If the fashion industry can put fashion on the market before the trend, it will have a huge return. RFID technology can allow Throttleman to get more sales. Thanks to the latest RFID shelf. In addition, Throttleman Successfully applying our technical description, our award-winning multi-purpose RFID system can be used for item-level tracking and tracing of various commodities.”
Throttleman fashion house needs to process 1.5 million sets of garments each year, and the price of each garment is between 10-250 Euros. Being able to reduce inventory and delivery for five days means that Throttleman can sell more clothes and get more revenue.
Throttleman’s vice chairman Miguel Maya said: “We know very well that in order to achieve our sales goals, we must double the speed of procurement and delivery. Creativesystems and TAGSYS are well-known turnkey solution contractors, and we can happily announce that we Our RFID system has helped us achieve our predetermined goals.
