 1 Overview

Haixinsha Island is located on the sandbar in the heart of the Pearl River Neijiang in Guangzhou. It is on the main channel of the north of the Pearl River. The opening ceremony of the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010 and the closing ceremony half a month later were grandly held here.

The power supply on the entire island consists of two parts: on-site power generation and power supply by Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau. The entire power distribution facilities are located in the underground space below the stage, including four power distribution areas, namely: (1#) comprehensive transformation and distribution room, Stage (2#) comprehensive transformation and distribution room, underground space (3#) integrated transformation and distribution room, stage (4#) integrated transformation and distribution room, each distribution room includes 10KV high-voltage power distribution cabinet, DC screen, 0.4 KV low-voltage distribution cabinets, generators, transformers, etc. On the night of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Asian Games, all important circuits involving performances, fountains, and audio systems were powered by on-site generators, while the rest of the stands and lighting were powered by the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau.

As the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Intercontinental Competition, it has extremely high requirements on the stability and safety of the power supply and distribution system. Therefore, a power monitoring system workstation is set up in each comprehensive transformation and distribution area to realize the detection, early warning, fault analysis, statistical output and automatic control of the operating status of each operating equipment in the transformation and distribution room; a central monitoring center is set up in the stand equipment monitoring center The control room, the system server and the main management workstation are located in the central control room, and all power parameters of the substation and distribution room are transmitted to the central control room through optical fibers. At the same time, a power monitoring system workstation is set up on the 10th floor of the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau, and the data is transmitted to the dispatch center of the Power Supply Bureau through the company’s LAN and the 104 Statute of Guangdong Province. From all directions, all angles, and deep levels to ensure that the Asian Games power supply is foolproof.

Based on the above requirements, Acrel-3000 power monitoring system makes full use of the latest development of modern electronic technology, computer technology, computer network technology and field bus technology to carry out decentralized data collection and centralized monitoring and management of the power supply and distribution system in the entire island.

  2. The network structure of the system

The system adopts a layered distributed computer network structure, namely the interval layer, the communication layer and the station control layer, as shown in the figure below:

As the foundation of the entire power distribution system, the main equipment on the site partition includes: multi-function network power meter, leakage current monitoring device, microcomputer comprehensive protection device, DC screen system, transformer temperature controller, etc. These devices are installed in the high and low voltage electrical cabinets, temperature control boxes and DC panel cabinets corresponding to the corresponding primary equipment respectively. MODBUS bus network communication, the DC screen system adopts 232 interface, and realizes data collection on site through CDT communication protocol.

The communication network layer is mainly: communication server, optical switch, switch. Its main function is to centrally collect the scattered on-site acquisition devices, and at the same time transmit it to the station control layer to complete the data exchange between the field layer and the station control layer.

Station control layer: equipped with high-performance industrial computers, monitors, UPS power supplies, printers, alarm buzzers and other equipment. The monitoring system is installed on the computer, collects and displays the operating status of the field equipment in a centralized manner, and displays it to the user in the form of human-computer interaction.

The above network instruments all use RS485 and RS232 interfaces through MODBUS-RTU and CDT communication protocols. RS485 uses shielded wires for transmission, generally two wires are used, and the wiring is simple and convenient; the communication interface is half-duplex communication, that is, both sides of the communication can receive , Send data but can only send or receive data at the same time, the maximum data transmission rate is 10Mbps. The RS-485 interface is a combination of a balanced driver and a differential receiver, which has enhanced anti-noise interference capability. Up to 32 devices can be connected to the bus, and the maximum transmission distance is 1.2km.

At the station control layer, the data is transmitted to the main server through the local area network in the form of serial port protocol data forwarding.

 3. Main functions of the system

3.1 Data collection and processing

Data acquisition is the basis of power distribution monitoring. Data acquisition is mainly completed by the underlying measurement and control device to realize local real-time display of remote data. The signals that need to be collected include: three-phase voltage U, three-phase current I, frequency Hz, power P, power factor COSφ, electrical degree Ep, remote equipment operating status, temperature and other data.

Data processing is mainly to display the electrical parameters collected as required to users in real time and accurately, so as to meet the automation and intelligent requirements of power distribution monitoring, and store the collected data into the database for users to query and analyze. It avoids the operation guarantee team going directly to the power distribution room to check the operation status of the power distribution system, ensuring that faults are found and eliminated in the shortest time.

3.2 Human-computer interaction

The system displays the primary wiring diagram of the high and low voltage power distribution system through the full Chinese interface and CAD graphics, displays the current operation information of each circuit equipment, and refreshes it in real time, and displays the current circuit operation status through coloring, as shown in the following figure:

3.3 Fault alarm and accident recall

When a fault occurs in the power distribution system, an audible and visual alarm will be issued in time to prompt the user to respond to the fault circuit in time. At the same time, the time and place of the event will be automatically recorded so that the user can query and recall the cause of the fault. The record is shown in the following figure:

The figure shows the alarm information of the opening and closing position generated by the on-site circuit.

3.4 User rights management

The number of users of the software can be added and deleted and the permissions of users can be set according to user requirements. For users of different levels, set up different permission groups to prevent the loss of production and life caused by human misoperation, and realize the safe and reliable operation of the power distribution system.

3.5 Operating load curve

The current load parameters of incoming lines and important loops are collected regularly, and the running load trend curve is automatically generated, which is convenient for users to understand the running load status of the equipment in time, display the harmonic data of important loops (2-31 harmonics) in real time, and query historical harmonics. wave data, etc.

Due to the extremely high requirements for the safety of the power distribution system on the night of the opening ceremony, on-site power generation was used in important circuit parts to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power distribution system. In Figure (4), the big red curve represents the power supply trend curve of the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau, the purple part is the power generation trend of the on-site generator, and the green curve represents the current total power operation trend. Through the real-time trend curve, it can help the on-duty personnel to monitor closely Current load health.

3.6 Building and querying with database

It mainly completes the timed collection of remote measurement and remote signaling, establishes a database, and generates reports on a regular basis for users to query and print.

3.7 Data forwarding function

All operating data are transmitted through Ethernet, and transmitted to the dispatch center of Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau by Haixinsha on-site duty room through 104 protocol, and centralized monitoring and unified operation by the municipal power supply department.

4. System Features

The software and hardware of the system are all modular, and the hardware is all intelligent. The software and hardware design selects industrial-grade standards, and the reliability is very high; the intelligent control terminal and remote intelligent communication controller of the whole system are all composed of 16-bit microcomputers. This distributed control system has fast speed, good real-time performance and reliable communication; intelligent control The terminal has its own CPU, which has short acquisition cycle, strong real-time performance and high system redundancy; each subsystem works independently and does not affect each other; and the subsystems are modularized, which further improves the safety and reliability of the entire system. .

5. Summary

This paper introduces the overall structure and realization functions of the power monitoring system for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Guangzhou Asian Games. After the system investment and operation, it has passed the test of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Asian Games for many times, and finally successfully exerted its effect on the night of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Asian Games. Through the analysis of the data obtained from the previous rehearsal by this system, the most suitable power generation load is obtained, which not only ensures the reliability of power supply, but also realizes cost savings, and responds to the call for saving the Asian Games.
