[ad_1]
The “Department of Commerce of the Ministry of Economic Affairs” started to promote the “Flagship Demonstration Project of RFID Value-Added Applications” in 2006. The purpose is to integrate the application functions of RFID, so that life can form a life circle that can share services, information and resources with each other. People’s food, clothing, housing, transportation, education and music have become more convenient and humanized. Since 2007, it has created an intelligent and convenient living environment with the campus life circle and community life circle as the planning core.
Five RFID smart and convenient campuses
The executive unit, Guanmao Network (Stock) Company, through industry-university cooperation in the last year (2008), incorporated the semi-open campus into the RFID security network to strengthen public safety. There are five schools including Dalian University of Commerce and Technology, Tamkang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Qingyun University of Science and Technology and Chinese Culture University.
Taking Yuda College of Business and Technology as an example, in addition to the dormitory and library access control systems, a special “growth passport management system” has been established. Through the RFID value-added application technology, students have the right to log in online to participate in extracurricular and extracurricular activities, including art and cultural activities, seminars, education and training, etc., from the holding of online registration activities, the supervisor’s approval, open online registration, and on-site use of reading. Card machine check-in, even after the event is over, report submission, performance evaluation, etc. will be logged into a complete electronic record based on the card swiping information of each participating student, which can become a complete resume of personal learning and participation in activities upon graduation. Provide supporting statements for future further studies or job search.

In the construction case of the Chinese Culture University, RFID combined with access control and integrated into a “smart classroom scheduling management system” to reduce classroom management manpower, enhance classroom utilization efficiency, and improve services through the characteristics of RFID access control instant return quality. For example, teachers can register the use of classrooms and the needs of teaching aids and teaching materials. Through the RFID card reading system, managers can enter and organize during the rest time of each class, assist teachers to prepare the teaching materials needed for the next class, and swipe the card. It can be seen that the convenience of technology is always close to human nature!

The Chinese Culture University has also successfully copied this system into Qingyun University of Science and Technology in Taoyuan. In addition to the basic dormitory and library access control systems, an “RFID centrally controlled locker” has been built in the gymnasium. The fixed points provided free of charge every month are used to place personal items, replacing the original open lockers, which greatly improves the safety of item storage and the convenience of students’ use, and can effectively solve the problem of lockers being used by users. Long-term occupation, inability to know whether the stored items are dangerous, and users losing the key or password of the safe deposit box.
The University of Science and Technology of China has built an “automatic roll call and sign-in system” for large conference rooms in this project, which can speed up the operation and management of important meetings, greatly shorten the check-in procedure and time, and combine the verification of the “activity resume system”; The “Classroom Automatic Roll Calling System” is established in professional special classrooms, which simplifies the roll call process of teachers, and can effectively control the entry and exit of students who are not selected in the classroom, and can properly maintain campus assets. In addition, a considerate “on-demand message service” has been established, which combines the access control function of the classroom and the campus information station, so that students can specify the recipient through the network system and enter a message, and the recipient can confirm the identity by swiping the card in the access control system , you can read messages and send and receive messages in real time.

In addition, the “Legislative Yuan” passed the “Regulations on the Administration of the Issuance of Electronic Tickets” earlier this year, so that electronic tickets with a stored value of less than 10,000 yuan can be used for small-scale consumption such as public transportation and shopping. Tamkang University will take the lead after the completion of related work. EasyCard is used as a payment and deduction mechanism for students to purchase transcripts and use air conditioners. At present, it has cooperated with 15 demonstration merchants inside and outside the campus, and combined the EasyCard test to verify the feasibility of small-sum consumption application integration. In the future, teachers and students of Tamkang University will be You can use the EasyCard in your hand to make small purchases at merchants inside and outside the school; for consumers, it can not only shorten the queuing time, but also avoid the trouble of cash payment and change, and for merchants, it can simplify charges and settlements. It can be said that it is the latest and most convenient breakthrough policy for RFID in campus settings.

These RFID innovative applications built in colleges and universities not only make the campus life of students more convenient, but also facilitate the realization of school teaching, research, management, service and other activities, improve teaching quality and administrative efficiency, and create a better campus environment!
Mucha Phase II Smart Community
In addition to building the above-mentioned five RFID smart and convenient campuses, the plan also uses the Muzha Phase II rezoning area in Taipei City as a demonstration community this year, which has been successfully replicated and imported into community life applications. The reason why the Muzha Phase II rezoning area was chosen as a demonstration community is that there are 43 communities, 2 campuses and nursing homes in this area, and its compound lifestyle can better present the diversified benefits of RFID applications; The important thing is that the residents self-organize to promote the development of the Association, actively promote the digital development of the community, and have the ability and funds for follow-up self-maintenance and operation, which can truly achieve the purpose of demonstration and construction.
It is planned to build “Smart Home Patrol Helper”, “Activity History Service”, “Smart Access Control Butler”, “Smart Access Control Manager” and “Smart Housekeeper” in five residential communities and an elderly care center in the Muzha Phase II rezoning area of Taipei City. Five RFID construction systems, including “Wall-mounted Information Station” and “Community Security Patrol Service”, have officially become the first RFID smart and convenient community in Asia, allowing community residents to enjoy better quality under the RFID security network. intelligent life.
Figure 6. The promotion of RFID application in the last (2008) year of the Muzha Phase II intelligent community
Among them, “Smart Housekeeping Assistant” and “Activity History Service” are used in the “Zhaoru Elderly Care Center” in the community. Medical staff can use mobile devices to sense the RFID tag at the end of the bed of the elderly to confirm the correct identity and reduce the risk of misidentifying patients. probability. Because of its medical use, “Smart Housekeeping Assistant” specially selected antibacterial materials, and designed a blue and white receiver with a cute appearance from the perspective of female medical staff. With the function of wireless transmission, it can transmit the physiological data measured by the elderly living in the nursing center to doctors every day. Medical staff can make judgments immediately, and it is also helpful for continuous tracking and analysis in the future.
“Activity History Service” uses RFID technology to record the activities of the elderly participating in various cultural, recreational and recreational activities in the hospital, including festival activities, outdoor travel, talent shows, course lectures, etc. The establishment of the “Activity History Service” is like an “electronic contact book” between the nursing center and the family members. Through the online query function, not only can you know the information about the elderly’s participation in related activities, but you can also view the photos of the activities. , to accurately grasp the growth activities of the elderly in the nursing home, and let the hospital, the elderly, and relatives participate in the care and life of the elderly.
In addition, in the residential part of the community, a “smart access control housekeeper” system has been introduced, which integrates the construction of “smart wall-mounted information stations”, and uses the high technology brought by RFID to be the administrator of the community. This system not only allows residents to directly read the messages of neighbors or visitors through the touch screen, but also becomes a small helper for residents at home. For example, Mr. Wang wants to repair the gas pipeline at home, just use RFID Identify and use the aforementioned smart device to notify the management room to request maintenance. Residents can not only inquire about the progress of maintenance and processing through the Internet, but also through RFID identification, and all inquiries can be completed by card!

Epilogue
In the future, the plan will continue to promote the application of RFID and the development of the industry. It is hoped that through the promotion and diffusion of campus life circles and community life circles, it will integrate surrounding businesses, schools, hospitals, etc., to create a convenient life circle of RFID, and promote the popularization of RFID applications. It will stimulate industrial research and development, create considerable benefits, and make Taiwan a U-shaped technology island leading the world trend!
