Innovative RFID solutions for bakeries
[ad_1]
PENAM, a leading bread manufacturer in the Czech Republic, Barco, a bar code and RFID system integrator, and Alfa Plastik, a plastic molding manufacturer, jointly developed the Czech Republic’s first RFID packaging crate suitable for bakery production and warehouse storage facilities .
In the development of RFID packaging crates, PENAM is first committed to improving the automation process of production and inventory operations, reducing the loss of reuse equipment, and ensuring the traceability and visibility of the entire product in the production and supply chain.
The identification of bakery crates through RFID tags is a basic prerequisite for further configuration of RFID technology through production and storage facilities to achieve maximum system benefits.
RFID packaging crates represent a unique solution in this regard in the Czech Republic. It represents an important shift in the development and application of new technologies in the RFID, automated identification, and plastic industry markets.
From a technical point of view, this solution was developed in cooperation with Barco, a barcode and RFID system integrator, and Alfa Plastik, a plastic molding manufacturer. The solution that seems simple at this stage is the result of several months of development, experimentation and research on the adaptability and economic benefits of plastic packaging and passive UHF radio frequency tags. As the RFID technology suitable for this purpose, the RFID UHF wave curve label is selected from the Alien technology that is compatible with the performance requirements of reading range and reliability, as well as the lowest possible operating cost and the economic requirements of the overall investment rationality.
