1 The track scale car number record status and main problems before the transformation
It is a thorny problem that has long plagued users for dynamic electronic track scales to record vehicle numbers when weighing and measuring. main problem:
(1) The measurement and weighing time of the dynamic rail scale is short, and the manual copying is prone to mistakes and omissions.
(2) There are many problems with the tank car number itself. For example, the number of the tanker may be obscured by dirt, covered by a tarp, etc., which may cause errors in the record of the number.
(3) There are human factors in the manual recording of vehicle numbers, which may cause the loss of corporate profits. Sometimes a train carries different kinds of chemical materials into the factory at the same time. Due to the different prices, different sales and payment will be generated. If internal and external collusion, the tank car number is deliberately mistaken, it may cause the loss of corporate profits.
2 Modification measures
2.1 Vehicle number recognition system
We have jointly developed Maoming Ethylene Electronic Rail Scale Car Number Recognition System with the function of “one machine and dual control” with the rail scale manufacturer, which is used for on-site rail scale measurement and automatic recording of the car number.
2.2 Working process of automatic vehicle number recognition system
At present, all locomotives and freight trains operated by national railways have been installed with electronic tags. The principle of the automatic vehicle number recognition system is to use a reading device to read the vehicle number in the electronic tag to automatically recognize the vehicle number. Since the electronic tag is not affected by external factors such as pollution and concealment, the automatic recording vehicle number recognition accuracy rate reaches 100%. The main working process is:
(1) Detecting incoming vehicles: The automatic vehicle number identification system is always in the incoming vehicle detection state. (2) Reading the tag number: When the freight train equipped with the electronic tag passes through the range of the microwave signal emitted by the antenna, the electronic tag reflects and modulates the microwave signal according to the memory data, and the antenna receives the signal modulated by the electronic tag and transmits it. For the RF radio frequency device, the RF radio frequency device demodulates and amplifies the signal and sends it to the computer’s reader card. The computer performs data processing for decoding, recognizes the vehicle number data and places these data in the buffer for temporary storage .

3 Effect analysis before and after transformation
3.1 The measurement accuracy is not affected
From January 10, 2005 to August 30, 2005, we organized a total of 8l railway tank cars equipped with various chemical products to compare the data of dynamic rail scale (Maoming Ethylene is a dynamic number rail scale) and static rail scale. The relative error of measurement and weighing is within ±0.5%, which is consistent with the results before the transformation. The measurement accuracy of the railway scale has not been affected in any way. The weighing data is shown in Table 1.
3.2 High accuracy of automatic vehicle number recording and recognition
From January 4, 2005 to August 16, 2005, we recorded 756 railway tank wagons with automatic and manual vehicle number records. The automatic identification accuracy rate was as high as 100%, which met the needs of production and operation.
3.3 The vehicle number recognition system realizes one-machine dual control of weighing measurement and automatic vehicle number recognition
The original automatic vehicle number recognition system was independent of the metering system. The weighing system and the vehicle number recognition system were each controlled by a computer. When a train passes the track scale, the train number recognition system computer transmits the train number to the computer used in the metering system through the serial port. When the number of metering sections is the same, the weight and the train number can correspond. However, in actual work, due to various reasons, occasionally the number of weighing and metering sections and the number of vehicle number recognition sections will be different, which will cause the weight of the vehicle number to be misplaced. In this technical transformation work, we will produce with the track scale. The manufacturers jointly developed a vehicle number automatic identification system with “one machine, two controls” and remote data transmission functions. The system uses MWS-1c weighing converter to perform vehicle number recognition while measuring, completely achieving weight and vehicle number. One-to-one correspondence.
4 Conclusion
The automatic identification system of Maoming Ethylene Track Scale Car Number was installed on December 25, 2004 and put into use after commissioning. After testing and use, it achieved the expected purpose of transformation.

(2) The automatic vehicle number recognition system realizes the simultaneous entry of weighing data and vehicle number in the weighing process, avoiding the manual entry of vehicle number procedures and improving work efficiency;
(3) The automatic identification system of the vehicle number and the weighing and measurement system realize one machine and dual control, and the vehicle number identification is carried out at the same time as the measurement, so that the weight and the vehicle number are one-to-one correspondence;
(4) Realize the unattended function of the track scale operation room.
The automatic vehicle number recognition system can use the network system to transfer the measurement results of heavy and empty vehicles to relevant units.
