Design case of intelligent parking management navigation system

1. Demand background
1.1 Demand background
At present, China’s national economy is at an important stage of rapid development. With the healthy and sustained rapid development of the national economy, GDP and residents’ income continue to grow steadily, my country’s automobile industry has shown explosive growth, and the scale of production and sales has been maintained for the 10 years from 1999 to 2009. An average annual growth rate of more than 20%. According to the latest statistics on the production and sales of domestically-produced automobiles released by the China Automobile Association in 2009, in 2009, the production and sales of automobiles in my country were 13.791 million and 13.644 million, a year-on-year increase of 48.30% and 46.15%. The year-on-year growth rate of nearly 50% also surpassed the highest blowout period in history. At present, my country has become the world’s largest automobile consumer.
1.2 Status of the industry
As people’s living standards continue to improve steadily, cars as a means of transportation have gradually become an indispensable necessity in daily life. With the continuous growth of sales in the automotive industry, especially the emergence of a large number of private cars, many cities’ central areas, Traffic and parking problems in bustling commercial districts and other areas are getting worse. Due to the shortage of parking spaces and the blind cruise in search of parking spaces, congestion and disorder have been caused, resulting in a lot of unnecessary traffic flow. The resulting serious waste of resources and time, as well as increased exhaust emissions, is not conducive to the orderly, healthy and sustainable development of the city.
How to effectively reduce the ineffective traffic flow caused by blindly searching for parking spaces, optimize the allocation of parking resources, improve the convenience of parking users, ensure smooth traffic and standardize parking order. Reduce management costs, improve site utilization efficiency, save time and resources, reduce unnecessary emissions, and promote the construction of green and environmentally friendly cities.
For a long time, the construction of parking facilities in large and medium cities across the country has lagged behind the rapid growth of motor vehicles, resulting in more serious parking contradictions. The vicious circle of “difficult parking and random parking” has become a difficult and hot issue in urban traffic management. The shortage of parking spaces directly causes travel inconvenience, traffic jams, damage to greenery, environmental damage, and threats to safety, which affect the quality of life, increase production costs, and hinder the normal development of society and economy. The harm is self-evident. If measures are not taken early, it will be detrimental to the orderly, healthy and sustainable development of the city. Therefore, the supply-demand relationship of parking must be optimized and adjusted to promote the coordinated development of urban parking systems.
1.3 Industry analysis
According to the latest survey on the number of parking spaces and cars in 16 large and medium-sized cities in my country, the ratio of public parking spaces to the number of cars is 1:3, and some cities even reach 1:5, which means that there are 3 cars or 5 cars. There is only one parking space for each vehicle, especially the ratio of commercial areas and urban tourist attractions as high as 1:10. As of June 2009, statistics show that there are 248 communities and 244 social parking lots registered in the urban area of Suzhou, which can provide parking spaces. 64760 only. Among them, there are only 35 three-dimensional parking garages (yards) registered in the Special Equipment Safety Supervision Department of the Municipal Quality Supervision Institute, which can provide 3,393 parking spaces, accounting for only 5% of the total number of parking spaces in the urban area.
These two figures simply reflect the contradiction between “supply” and “demand”. However, on the issue of parking, it is by no means that supply exceeds demand. From construction to management, from resource utilization to operation and charging, the problem exists at multiple levels-this is by no means a simple problem of parking space supply.
Note the following reasons:
1. The parking space information is not smooth, and the parking lot management lacks efficiency;
After the vehicle enters the parking lot, it cannot find the corresponding parking space in the fastest and most convenient way, and there is no corresponding intelligent instruction in the process of looking for the parking space. In the process of looking for the parking space, unnecessary search is caused, causing unnecessary traffic. Waste the time and resources of the car owner. The incomplete and effective utilization of existing parking spaces is also an important factor affecting static parking. Providing an effective method to improve the utilization of existing parking resources so that the information of parking spaces in each parking lot can be stably and efficiently communicated to the driver is also a problem in front of the managers.
The intelligent parking management system will use parking space detection technology to provide real-time free parking space information and provide navigation functions to effectively solve the trouble of finding parking spaces.
2. Confusing management and different charging standards can easily cause disputes;
At present, most parking lots adopt personnel charging methods. In the charging process, the charging factors such as parking time and vehicle type are not clear, which may cause disputes. At the same time, the accounting is not clear, and it is impossible to avoid private fraud and embezzlement of charges.
The intelligent parking management system will automatically register vehicle entry and departure time, automatically charge and display it, and use wireless voice prompts and other functions to increase transparency and credibility. At the same time, reports can be generated automatically according to the time period, so that the charging situation is clear and correct.
2. Products and functions
2.1 Product introduction
In the intelligent parking lot management system, we are the first to propose an intelligent parking lot management system based on the combination of Wi-Fi + RFID + infrared sensing technologies, which mainly fulfills three major functional requirements: intelligent vehicle navigation, all-in-one card charging, and parking spaces Management and other functions. Meet the urgent needs of modern parking lots.
The system enables the system design to proceed from the perspective of improving humanity and intelligence. The entire parking process is highly closely connected, and intelligent vehicle storage, delivery, and charging are realized.
2.2 Product function and description
In order to achieve the above goals, the following analysis is made on the design of the parking system: The intelligent parking system is an autonomous system. The goal of the system is to realize that after the vehicle enters the garage area, it communicates with the management system of the garage through wireless communication. No one automatically drives to the parking location designated by the garage management system. When the owner needs to pick up the vehicle, only after the parking lot management system operates the vehicle, the vehicle will automatically drive to the designated exit. The design of the system requires as few guiding signs as possible to the parking lot, so as to minimize the cost of parking lot layout. First, I create a virtual parking lot. The scene of the parking lot is shown in Figure 3.1.
Scene map of parking lot
When the vehicle enters, swipe the card, confirm the identity, after the information is correct, the brake lever is opened, the vehicle enters the parking lot, the LED navigation screen can display the parking space occupancy of the entire parking lot, and automatically navigate the direction of the vehicle. When the owner parks properly, the system automatically recognizes The vehicle is parked in the parking space and returned to the server, and the navigation record is refreshed at the same time.
When the car owner drives away, the system automatically calculates the parking time and calculates the amount.
2.3 Design principle
The system used in this system and its composition conform to the following principles:
