At present, with the expansion of expressway construction and the acceleration of network toll construction, with the increase in the scale of the road network and the increase in traffic volume, users’ requirements for traffic efficiency and service levels are also increasing. As road investment subjects increase, the road network structure has become increasingly complex, and after the expansion of the network charging range, the contradiction between road investors due to the ambiguity path has become more and more prominent.

The contradiction of ambiguity path is mainly manifested in the collection and splitting of tolls. At present, tolls are mainly collected based on the shortest path, and there are two types of splitting methods: precise splitting and fuzzy splitting. However, with the increasing number of ambiguity paths and the increasing amount of tolls involved, if the shortest path tolls and fuzzy splits continue, it will inevitably seriously harm the interests of investors and operation managers and affect their Investment enthusiasm affects the development process of expressway construction. Therefore, the precise collection and precise division of tolls is an inevitable trend.

The RFID route identification equipment independently developed by Jinyi Technology successfully carried out the first domestic engineering application in Zhejiang Province, enabling Zhejiang Province to accurately split the tolls on the basis of the existing toll system with minimum investment and maximum flexibility.

The highway RFID ambiguous path identification system is mainly composed of three key core devices: dual-frequency electronic tags based on the combination of 433MHz and 13.56MHz (abbreviated as OBU), dual-frequency card readers (abbreviated as ODU), and beacon base stations ( Referred to as RSU). When the system is working, the vehicle receives the dual-frequency electronic tag (OBU) at the entrance of the expressway. When the vehicle passes the main line identification point at high speed, the roadside base station (RSU) identification system can write the identification information into the card, and pass the dual-frequency electronic label at the exit The card reader (ODU) reads the entrance and identification information in the card to determine the precise driving path. In this way, it can be combined with the entire expressway network toll system platform to realize ambiguity path identification, complete accurate toll collection and split settlement.

Highlights of this application case:

——The project is scaled up. The project is implemented and officially operated in the expressway network of Zhejiang Province, covering more than 3,000 kilometers of expressways in Zhejiang Province.

——The project is of innovative significance. All key equipment is independently developed. The active dual-frequency electronic tag has a service life of more than 8 years, the path information identification success rate is greater than 99%, and the card swiping success rate is greater than 99.9%, which meets or exceeds the system application requirements.

——Significant social benefits. The highway RFID ambiguity path recognition system is the first in the world. Its key equipment has complete national intellectual property rights, which can achieve the precise split of highway tolls and increase the enthusiasm for highway investment. And management enthusiasm has accelerated the development process of expressway construction.

——Significant economic benefits. Only Zhejiang Expressway ambiguity path recognition system uses 1 million dual-frequency electronic tags, 3,000 dual-frequency card readers, and 67 sets of beacon base stations. The total output value of the project exceeds 100 million yuan.

——Representatively, through the implementation of this project, a new application of RFID technology in the field of intelligent transportation has been created and the development of RFID technology has been promoted.
