1. The necessity of building a lighting monitoring system
1.1 Current control methods
The street lamp monitoring system consists of an external street lamp control terminal (DAM3000 module), a wireless data communication system (GPRS1090), and a monitoring center. 1.2 Defects of current control methods
The current method can neither adjust the time of turning on/off the light in time, nor can it reflect the operation of the lighting facility in time, and has a high failure rate and difficult maintenance. With the continuous development of the city, the scope of control is getting larger and larger, and the current control method cannot reflect the operation of the lighting facilities in time, which makes the maintenance work very passive. Faults during operation can only be found when inspectors arrive at the scene, or passively wait for calls from citizens, so it is difficult to repair them in time.
When encountering some special tasks such as inspections by leaders, reception of state guests, and large-scale events, due to the lack of flexible control methods, a large number of personnel must be temporarily dispatched to the scene to manually operate the lighting switch box or temporarily notify the landscape lighting units. Under urgent circumstances, the requirements for the successful completion of the task cannot be met.
Second, the composition of the street lamp (light) monitoring system
The specific monitoring objects of the system: the voltage, current, active power and reactive power in the lighting system control box, which can be connected with corresponding transformers to measure voltage and current signals of different ranges. The voltage and current acquisition accuracy is 0.4%. The relay switch output can directly control the contactor switch in the control cabinet of the street lamp, used for street lamp, midnight lamp, landscape lamp, advertising lamp control, with switch input channel, can be used as contactor feedback signal, gate control after setting switch etc.

Three conclusions
After adopting the urban lighting automatic monitoring system, the on/off of all-night lights, midnight lights and landscape lights can be automatically controlled in the whole city. At the same time, because the lighting automation monitoring system has the functions of automatic alarm and inspection and selection, the dispatcher can know the location and status of the fault in a few seconds after the fault occurs, which provides a strong guarantee for timely repair. Street lights are maintained in a timely manner, and the wireless lighting monitoring system can improve the reliability and checkability of lights on/off, and avoid the occurrence of lighting during the day; at the same time, the system adopts a control scheme that combines light control and time control.
