I. Introduction

The oil depot generally supplies gasoline and diesel to the outside world in the form of railway transportation. Because the oil depot has been built for a long time, limited by the development level of rail scale technology at that time, the equipment is backward and outdated, and the trains entering and leaving the oil depot are manually recorded and counted. This way of copying the number is easy to cause missed copying of the vehicle number, wrong copying of the vehicle number or damage to the interests of the enterprise. Therefore, our company (Shenzhen Guoyu Yuanchuang Technology Co., Ltd.) has cooperated with the manufacturer to upgrade the original automatic loading system: adding a new automatic identification management system for railway car numbers. It aims to improve the management level of railway vehicles, realize the real-time and automation of statistics, and reduce management costs.

2. Concept Analysis

The uniqueness, accuracy and real-time nature of vehicle number information are directly related to vehicle safety management, capacity resource management, production technology management and business resource management.

The role of the car number. The car number is a set of codes used to describe the identity, characteristics and purpose of the vehicle. The car number of a railway freight car in my country is composed of Chinese pinyin letters and Arabic numerals, and is scribbled on both sides of the car body. .

1. Identification mark. The vehicle number can reflect the nature, vehicle type, model, load series, sequence series, structural characteristics and sequence number of the vehicle, which can fully indicate the identity of each vehicle and is the basic identification to distinguish it from other vehicles.

2, the basis of technical management. A large amount of information such as technical performance indicators, technical structure, maintenance management and configuration changes, operating status, fault categories, and accident analysis and processing are formed in the entire life process of vehicles from manufacturing, operation, maintenance to scrapping. The vehicle number is the carrier of this information. It is the only clue to query the relevant information of each vehicle and the basis for technical management.

3. The basis of transport organization and statistics. As a vehicle for loading and transporting goods, the vehicle number is the basis for organizing loading, driving, unloading, and statistical analysis of various transportation indicators, as well as the basis for querying the flow of goods.

4. The basis of tenure management. In the legal sense, a vehicle is an item managed as real estate. When its ownership is acquired, eliminated and transferred, the vehicle number management and registration system must be used to manage the assets. Therefore, the management of this specific asset is also administratively managed, and the ownership must be clear and one property has one right.

5. The object of computer informatization collection. Because the car number is composed of Chinese pinyin letters and Arabic numerals, and the automation technology mainly uses the technology of collecting, processing, transmitting and applying the numbers, making the car number the object and source of vehicle information collection.

3. The composition of the vehicle number identification management system

  The system is mainly composed of three parts: vehicle/locomotive electronic label, ground identification equipment, and centralized management system for tanker identification.

1. Label

Vehicle number information and vehicle technical parameter information are stored in the internal memory of the vehicle tag. The tags are installed on the bottom center beam of the identified vehicle, one tag per vehicle. It consists of microwave antenna, virtual power supply, reflection modulator, encoder, microprocessor and memory. Each electronic tag is equivalent to the “ID card” of each vehicle.
The information included in the locomotive label: attribute code, train number, locomotive model, assigned road bureau, and assigned section.

2. Ground identification equipment

The ground identification equipment consists of ground antenna, RF radio frequency module, readout computer and other parts. Accurately identify running trains and vehicles. The tag information is read by the ground antenna and transmitted to the host computer through a communication cable or optical fiber. After processing by special software, the vehicle number data stored in the tag is displayed item by item. On-site installation is shown in Figure 1.

3. Vehicle identification centralized management system

The main engine room of the station is equipped with a special computer, which processes, stores and forwards the information transmitted by the industrial computer through the centralized management system. Check each batch of vehicle numbers applied by the label programming station with the central vehicle number database, reassign the new vehicle numbers to the heavy vehicle numbers, and then return the approved vehicle number information to the label programming station, that is, centrally and uniformly process, assign and approve vehicle numbers Information is like the central nervous system of the human brain.

Among these components, the smooth identification of tags and the transfer of data to the backend is the key.

4. System functions and features

  1) The system has excellent low-speed and static performance, and is suitable for vehicle speeds of 0-200 km/h.

2) The single-section processing and uploading of vehicle information has good real-time performance, and the characteristics are more prominent when used in conjunction with static rail scales.

3) It is easy to install and can be installed in the bend and turnout area according to the design requirements, and is fully compatible with the automatic identification system of the national railway car number.

4) Automatic identification of steam, internal combustion and electric locomotives, and automatic identification of various types of locomotives and vehicles that have passed through.

V. The working principle of the vehicle identification control system

  Electronic tags are installed at the bottom of each vehicle or locomotive, and the microwave transceiver antenna of the ground reading device is installed in the center of the track at the monitoring point. When the train arrives, the magnetic steel sensor in front of it gets the train arrival signal and triggers the microwave component in the ground reading device to start working, and the outdoor microwave antenna transmits microwave signals immediately, waiting for the train to pass. When the train passes over the microwave antenna, the electronic tag installed at the bottom of the vehicle (or locomotive) reflects part of the received microwaves back to the ground reading device, and the reflected microwave signal carries the electronic data stored in the electronic tag and passes through the ground. After reading out the host computer’s modulation and demodulation and decoding, it is restored to the data information such as the number and number of the vehicle, and then transmitted to the system by the host computer. After the train passes, the RF radio frequency module is controlled to stop working.
When the train wheels pass through the axle-counting magnetic steel device installed near the microwave antenna, the pulse signals generated by the door-opening magnetic steel and the door-closing magnetic steel are processed by the magnetic steel components in the main unit of the readout device to complete the axle counting of the train. Functions such as vehicle judgment and speed measurement.

6. Summary

  After the system is running, it can accurately provide basic information such as vehicle number, model and self-weight of incoming vehicles. Production scheduling and station attendants can supervise vehicles in real time, make accurate statistics and real-time adjustments to traffic flow, and establish a computer automatic report collection system for railway freight car numbers, signs, attributes, and locations. The activation of the identification system will provide accurate and real-time basic information for vehicle tracking management, and automatically record the identification accuracy rate of vehicle number to 100%, providing a guarantee for accurate statistics of production and operation. At the same time, it will also effectively improve the work efficiency of freight personnel and reduce the time that vehicles stay in the factory.
