The core of this project is the high-precision positioning algorithm that combines WiFi and Bluetooth independently developed by Youpin Technology. First, we use the WiFi signal to calculate the basic position, and then use the iBeacon signal strength to correct the position provided by the WiFi, thereby increasing the positioning accuracy to 1-3 meters.

The detailed positioning process of the entire system is as follows:

1. AP and iBeacon are pre-deployed on site, and all APs have the positioning function enabled. iBeacon is installed near each showcase according to the positioning accuracy requirements. After all the equipment is installed, import the equipment information and map into the positioning engine.

2. The on-site AP periodically reports the scanned WiFi terminal to the positioning engine, and the positioning engine sorts out the scanning results of each AP, and calculates the position coordinates with a positioning accuracy of 3 to 5 meters.

3. The mobile phone APP scans the ID information and signal strength of the surrounding iBeacon, and reports the scanned results to the positioning engine. The positioning engine calculates the positioning result of 1 to 3 meters, compares it with the previous WiFi positioning result, and combines it with the previous one. The positioning results and path of the, get the final position coordinates.

The main functions of the WiFi positioning system of Youpin Technology

1. Positioning and news push:

Tourists can check their real-time location and make navigation route rules for the destinations they need to go;

Operators can modify the push content/links online in real time. Push content display volume / click volume statistics / current day statistics / historical data statistics.

2. Passenger flow analysis:

According to the hardware ID of the mobile phone, the visitor’s entry and exit and stay time are counted, and the interest preference of the visitor is obtained by analysis. Data collection is actively scanned by AP, as long as the mobile phone is on WiFi, it does not need to connect or install APP. Although traditional video or infrared passenger flow analysis can obtain the number of calibrated people, it cannot obtain the behavior of individuals. The main contents are as follows:

1) Actively identify all WiFi phones, record location information, and provide XML data

2) Real-time passenger flow analysis: hourly passenger flow, average stay time, average number of visits by customers, ratio of new and old visitors

3) Distribution of heat maps: real-time traffic, daily average traffic, and average daily stay time hotspot distribution map

4) Ranking analysis: human traffic ranking, average residence time ranking, conversion rate ranking

Based on Youpin Technology’s positioning and navigation SDK, the “Fingertip Guangdong Expo” APP has designed 6 major functional modules, namely: self-guided tour, exhibition hall overview, event introduction, exhibit display, personalized service and ticket reservation. After the tourists download and install the “Fingertip Guangdong Expo” APP, they are equivalent to having a personal free tour guide, providing you with automatic tour services in real time. Open the “Fingertip Guangdong Expo” APP and enter the guided tour. Visitors can experience the VIP self-guided tour service unique to the virtual museum. The APP obtains the real-time location of the tourists from the positioning engine of Youpin, and then automatically designs the best tour route for the tourists. In the process of visiting the exhibits, after arriving at a certain booth, you can receive the graphic information, sound or video introduction of the exhibits pushed by the system to vividly understand the history and culture behind the exhibits.

If tourists want to go to the restroom, nursery room, rest area, coffee shop, souvenir shop, audience service station and other service facilities, just open the service function in the APP, click the corresponding service facility, and the system can automatically navigate to you destination. In addition to these smart self-services, it also provides functions such as exhibitions, event introductions, membership registration, and ticket reservations.
