Design
The transformation of China Merchants Bank’s video conference system mainly involves four parts:
1.Polycom HD Video Conference System
RMX1000 is used as multimedia multi-point processing unit, 70 HDX8006 and HDX8002 are distributed in various branches across the country as video conference access, RSS2000 server provides HD conference recording; 65 IP phones are used as real-time conference backup system; the whole system provides 720P/60 frames Or 1080P/30 frames of conference picture quality, audio reaches 22KHz broadband sound quality, theater-level sound quality enjoyment, with a new generation of high-definition dual-stream P on C technology.
2.Redundant switching network and QOS system deployment
Two Cisco 4507 Layer 3 switches provide redundant access for switching MCUs and other video conferencing servers; ensure the redundancy of switching access of core video equipment, and cooperate with three Polycom RMX1000s to provide redundant hot-standby for video conferencing MCUs across the network;
The Packeteer intelligent application layer switch PacketShaper is deployed in the wide area network of the country. It is an application-based information flow management system, which can effectively improve the performance and predictability of various applications running on the wide area network (WAN) and the Internet. The intelligent seven-layer perspective capability and policy management provided by PacketShaper can flexibly manage network and application performance. Its traffic classification and analysis capabilities can identify performance issues and manage application service levels. Based on these analyses, PacketShaper allocates reasonable bandwidth resources by setting policies according to the importance of the business. Utilize TCP rate shaping and UDP rate shaping technology to provide high-efficiency operation guarantee for applications, and reduce packet loss and delay. 3.Conference integrated management system
After years of development, the technology of video conferencing has become more and more mature, and users have put forward more requirements for the schedulability, stability, backup, and manageability of the entire system. The entire system is built on the Polycom high-definition video conferencing platform, on which a security scheduling system and backup emergency system are built. At the same time, it is backward compatible with China Merchants Bank’s original Puqing video conferencing system, which has laid a good infrastructure for the formation of various solutions.
China Merchants Bank security dispatch system consists of 2 sets of Polycom IP phones IP650 and 63 sets of Polycom IP phones IP550. 2 sets of IP650 are deployed in the video security dispatch center of the head office, and 63 sets of IP550 are deployed in branches and sub-branches nationwide. The whole system can run independently to realize conference scheduling function. The convenient one-touch dialing and off-hook direct calling function can simplify traditional contact methods. China Merchants Bank successfully used this system to complete various functions such as coordination, fault handling, and information exchange among banks. .
China Merchants Bank’s emergency backup system is implemented based on industry-leading technology. The traditional conference system is simply composed of MCU and terminals. Once the equipment and lines fail or other emergencies occur, the conference will be forced to terminate, causing great losses to the video conference builders. It is precisely considering that many of China Merchants Bank’s meetings are very important and involve financial-sensitive business discussions, so the emergency backup function for meetings is extremely demanding. The whole security system consists of 4 backup types: 1. 3 MCU hot backup, which can effectively avoid a series of problems caused by MCU failure; 2. IP phone can join the conference urgently when the terminal cannot join the conference. 3. The telephone interface of HDX8000 can call traditional phones and mobile phones into the conference. When the IP line fails or the participants are on business trips, they can still participate in the conference. 4. High-definition meeting recording and broadcasting RSS2000 can record the meeting and training for those who did not attend the meeting to watch. This backup plan is planned and designed from four angles, with high reliability, and has passed the test of many conferences of China Merchants Bank.
