LogiTag Systems Announces Its StockBox at Buena Zion Medical Center RFIDThe solution is further promoted. This is a public hospital in Israel with 450 beds, 65,000 emergencies and 14,000 surgeries per year.

StockBox is a cloud-based RFID solution using 13.56 MHz passive RFID tags compliant with ISO 15693 standards, chosen by solution provider Sarel Corporation to establish direct communication between Sarel and the hospital, all record information (including inventory reports and requests) ) are automatically sent to the hospital’s ERP system and Sarel’s back-office system.

StockBox initially chose a test unit with about 44 beds. The promotion application will now more than triple, according to LogiTag.

StockBox is designed for tracking surgical supplies and other disposable consumables.

When items are picked up for use, they will place RFID tags on the container trays to record inventory changes.

According to LogiTag, Buenay Zion Medical Center wants to reduce the outage of items and ensure that medical staff keep abreast of inventory conditions. At the same time, LogiTag emphasized that the hospital tried to save valuable storage space.

Sarel can now continuously receive inventory records online without waiting. The data is available from LogiTag’s cloud server system, according to LogiTag, for use by various departments, which can include billing, operations and personnel load.

The hospital plans to expand the use of StockBox throughout the hospital, and hand over the entire material management work to Sarel’s design and implementation.
