Texas Instruments Introduces (HDX) RFID Mini Transponder
[ad_1]
Texas Instruments (TI) announced the launch of the world’s smallest half-duplex radio frequency identification (RFID) mini-transponder, which helps customers embed tags into smaller objects in a wider range of applications. Raising the bar for half-duplex (HDX) transponder technology. The 12mm TRPGR30TGC and TRPGP40TGC glass-encapsulated mini-transponders are ready-to-install and fully backward compatible with all TI RFID software and readers, including power modules, control modules and mini readers. The TRPGP40TGC is programmable to the ISO 11784 / 11785 global livestock ID standard, so customers can design compliant products that can be read worldwide using a 134.2 kHz ISO compliant receiver/infrastructure. This mini-transponder is durable enough (suitable for applications such as tools, medical instruments, packaging and inventory tracking) and secure enough (suitable for fish and livestock tracking and pet identification) for a working life of up to 30 years.
TI’s industry-leading HDX technology is used in the world’s first hermetically sealed 12mm glass transponder, making it easy for customers to design RFID applications. The read range is up to 20 inches (50 cm) and simplifies tag positioning for fish tracking in freshwater or even saltwater environments where FDX technology completely fails. TI’s HDX technology offers high noise immunity thanks to the use of Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) modulation and consistent performance through parametric testing and electronic testing of each mini-transponder throughout the production cycle. achieved by resonance tuning.
Features and Benefits of TI 12mm Mini Transponders:
• Passive mini-transponder tags measure 12mm x 2.12mm, enabling customers to introduce battery-free RFID tags in smaller applications (eg, smaller fish tracking);
• Each TRPGR30TGC mini-transponder is pre-programmed with a unique code for industrial applications and asset tracking. The TRPGP40TGC mini-transponder is user programmable for livestock and pet ID and fish tracking;
• The TRPGR30TGC mini-transponder can be fully sealed in carbon fiber (bike frames, aerospace, automotive applications), high-noise environments (industrial applications, assembly lines), and salt water;
• TI’s broad and comprehensive product portfolio and software support help customers bring their label products to global markets faster.
