1 existing problems

At present, my country’s substation equipment inspections mainly rely on regular and regular manual inspections by inspectors. Due to the constraints of various factors such as climatic conditions, environmental factors, personnel quality and sense of responsibility, the inspection quality and availability rate cannot be guaranteed. At the same time, the information reflecting the operating status and equipment defects cannot be fed back in time, and the hidden dangers of the equipment cannot be found in time, causing equipment failures. In addition, it is difficult to effectively supervise the inspectors using traditional inspection management methods, and equipment accidents caused by insufficient inspections are not uncommon. Therefore, in order to ensure the smooth progress of line and equipment inspection and reduce unnecessary economic losses, the voice of reforming the traditional and backward inspection methods is getting louder and louder. How to supervise the presence and working status of the inspection routes of the inspectors and the standardized management of the inspection work has become a common concern and urgent problem for power grid managers.

2 Solutions

In order to effectively solve the practical problems in the equipment inspection of unattended substations, after sufficient research, analysis and demonstration, combined with the characteristics of the mountainous area, we introduced the “intelligent inspection system” of the substation, and combined it with the standardized inspection of the substation. System planning, first The pilot construction and the construction strategy gradually promoted after maturity successfully solved the problem of equipment inspection quality supervision, and organically combined with the power grid safety production management system to eliminate island operations and improve the substation equipment inspection and operation management level.

The intelligent substation inspection system uses a mobile computing platform (such as PDA) to customize the substation inspection business, and realizes in-place supervision through identifiable labels to assist the positioning of the equipment, thereby guiding the inspectors to implement standardized and standardized work processes, and on this basis. A professional management system for statistical analysis of inspection results and equipment defects.

3 System Features

In response to the above problems, we have proposed an intelligent substation inspection system after research. The system consists of four parts: main station system, PDA, CF RFID read-write card and RFID electronic label attached to the equipment. The system adopts advanced and mature computer technology, wireless communication and barcode identification technology, combined with the standardized inspection of substations, to minimize the problems of missed inspections and inspections not in place. Its system architecture is shown in the figure.

The mobile inspection system architecture adopts advanced technology to achieve in-place supervision. Using the most advanced identification technology – RFID radio frequency identification technology, it is convenient to read the RFID electronic tag information through the portable data collector (PDA + read-write card), which perfectly solves the supervision in place.

4 Project implementation and application effects

 

The system has been piloted in substations under the jurisdiction of China Southern Power Grid. Up to now, the substations under the jurisdiction of China Southern Power Grid have begun to use the system for equipment inspection. The system has a friendly interface, convenient operation, stable and reliable operation. The inspection personnel formulate inspection tasks through the system and upload them to the PDA. The inspection personnel carry the PDA to carry out inspection work according to the inspection tasks, and read the attached equipment through the CF RFID read-write card. The RFID electronic tag on the system is confirmed in place, and the inspection is carried out according to the established standardized process of the system. The functional modules of the system fully meet the needs of the inspection business. China Southern Power Grid relies on this system to realize the monitoring of the working status of the inspectors, standardized inspection items and standardized defect input, guide and monitor the inspection work content of the inspectors, avoid the occurrence of wrong inspections and missed inspections, and effectively.
