  Overview

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification, Radio Frequency Identification) non-contact radio frequency automatic identification technology is currently one of the most popular technologies used in logistics and warehouse management. It is an automatic identification technology that has matured from the 1980s. It uses radio frequency for non-contact two-way communication to exchange data in order to achieve the purpose of identification. Compared with traditional magnetic cards and IC cards, the biggest advantage of radio frequency cards lies in non-contact automatic identification technology. Therefore, there is no need for manual intervention when completing the identification work. It is suitable for system automation and is not easily damaged. It can identify high-speed moving objects and can simultaneously Recognize multiple radio frequency cards, and the operation is quick and convenient.

GpsOne positioning technology is actually a solution to apply and improve GPS technology, also known as assisted GPS (Assistant GPS) positioning technology.

GpsOne mobile positioning technology combines GPS satellite signals and CDMA network signals for hybrid positioning. When the terminal can receive GPS satellite signals, the GPS positioning method is adopted. When the terminal is indoors or in an environment where the satellite signal is not good, the auxiliary GPS satellite signals received by the CDMA base station are used to achieve auxiliary positioning to meet the indoor and outdoor full coverage positioning. At the same time, the ring can effectively use CDMA communication technology to complete remote information exchange.

In and out of the port, cargo statistics, position adjustment, cargo replenishment, safety monitoring, timing tracking, and dispatching are a major topic of modern port management. The use of RFID technology can realize the effective identification and management of containers from time to time; the use of GpsOne technology to carry out timely, accurate and efficient location calibration tracking and dispatch monitoring of the container status.

The DRF8x0x series of RFID products and the DPS8xox series of GpsOne products with independent intellectual property rights for more than four years of independent research and development by the contemporary technology company’s R&D and engineering team can effectively complete all kinds of container management tasks in the port. It is a must for modern logistics management. High-tech tools.

 1. Project features

The biggest feature of the project is that it combines the mature smart card technology, wireless communication technology, and advanced software technology of Modern Technology Co., Ltd., organically integrates various mature technologies, and applies them to actual engineering requirements such as container entry and exit gates, accumulation, and transportation monitoring.

●At the port gates, non-contact smart RFID cards are used, and contemporary technology DRF8900 fixed readers are used to automatically identify and manage the identity numbers of inbound and outbound containers, and perform quick summary statistics on the carried items. Smart card management is the foundation and direction of information management of various management systems;

●For the containers stacked in a centralized manner, the DRF8901 vehicle-mounted/DRF8800 handheld mobile reader of Contemporary Technology Company can quickly identify and read the RFID cards installed in the boxes, and conduct statistical summarization of the containers and their loaded materials.

●Whether it is a stacked container or a mobile container, the DPS8901 GpsOne positioning communication device of Contemporary Technology Co., Ltd. can not only complete real-time location information tracking and monitoring, but also read the material information provided by RFID in the locked target through the Unicom CDMA network at any time .

 2. System function description

The device is divided into two subsystems and a monitoring command and dispatch center:

●One of the subsystems is the RFID read-write system provided by contemporary technology, which is composed of two parts: one is a microwave signal identifier (reader), that is, the entrance and exit communicator, which is installed at each entrance and exit of the port; the second part It is an electronic label. The system equips each container with a registered electronic label, which is installed in the appropriate position of the container. The module has an identification code and an item information code in the box. When the container entering and exiting the warehouse reaches 8-12 meters from the gate, the reader detects the existence of the container, activates the gate communicator, and detects the identity code (ID) in the electronic tag of the coming container. The ID is loaded and loaded in the form of microwave. Transmitted to the communicator, the information database in the communicator checks and counts the container, and uploads the information to the command center through the communication network. The response time of the entire system is only 0.3 seconds.

When it is necessary to perform statistical management of the containers stacked in the freight yard, the on-board RFID reader provided by Modern Technology can complete this task: use DRF8902 four-port equipment, install four reading antennas on the working body, and use the movement of the body to perform the task between 8-12 Data collection and statistics are performed on the containers on both sides of the moving route within a distance of meters.

●The second subsystem is the DPS8901 GpsOne communication positioning terminal system provided by contemporary technology. Through the remote excitation of the command and dispatch center, the collection and monitoring of the remote location information and real-time status of the container can be realized. The position error provided by it is about 5-10m. In situations where GPS satellite signals cannot be received, such as underground warehouses, the position error is about 50m.

●Command and dispatch center

Complete the receipt and statistics collection of various information at the port entrances and exits and containers, and deal with emergencies. In particular, for systems equipped with GpsOne equipment, the command center has a location information display function (GIS), which can always monitor the real-time geographic location of the target on the display screen, and more accurately implement emergency handling and processing by zooming in on the displayed map. Replenishment of goods. It has extremely important timeliness for anti-theft, fire prevention, and emergency adjustments.

  3. System composition

It is composed of electronic tags attached to the container, transceiver antennas at the port gates, tag readers, GpsOne positioning communication equipment, background management platform and internal communication network.

● Command and dispatch center equipment (computer, GIS map software, logistics management software, etc.)

●Access equipment (entry communicator, tag reader, etc.)

●Gate exit device (basically the same as the entrance device) l Electronic label (same as the registered number)

● GpsOne positioning and navigation equipment

  4. Work flow

●The RFID antenna is controlled by the reader to continuously transmit radio waves to search. When the container passes through the port management gate transceiver, the transceiver is triggered and emits code information that can uniquely indicate the identity of the container passing through the gate (such as container code, category, tonnage, etc.) And source or destination, etc.), and at the same time receive identification, inspection, video storage information, the port management station transceiver receives the signal, processed and transmitted to the computer system for data management and archiving for inquiries. Carry out information storage (inbound) or information comparison (outbound), and release normally after confirmation.

● The container carries GpsOne and accepts the material management information sent by RFID. Once the dispatch center is triggered by remote control, it will immediately return the target geographic location information and material management information to the center. At the same time, the command center can monitor the specific geographic location of each GpsOne carrying container through the GIS interface.

●The use of radio frequency card

In this scheme, taking into account the characteristics of the use of radio frequency cards, the radio frequency cards used in the scheme include two types: integrated circuit curing type and on-site wireless rewriting type.

Among them, the information in the integrated solidified electronic tag is generally injected in the ROM process mode when the integrated circuit is produced, and the stored information is immutable; the on-site wireless rewrite electronic tag has specific rewriting instructions, and the information stored in the electronic tag It is also located in the E2 storage area. In general, the time required to rewrite the electronic tag data is much longer than the time required to read the electronic tag data. And the writing distance is about 40% to 80% of the reading distance.

Install the radio frequency card that records the container location, item category, quantity and other data on the container. With the help of radio frequency identification technology, the exact position of the container in the yard can be determined, and the updated data can be written into the radio frequency card (on-site Wireless rewrite category). The system can also identify unallowed container movements, which is conducive to management and safety. In particular, a simpler radio frequency card (integrated circuit curing type) is attached to the inside of the container to facilitate the recording and statistics of the materials in the container. Taking into account the different shapes of the items in the box and the convenience of placement, it is problematic to have one label for an item. Only a few tags are attached to an item to ensure that one label is visible at all times. This is very necessary in the use of portable collection equipment. A special reminder that for metal materials, the reduction in radio frequency card antenna power radiation performance caused by cylindrical metal is the most serious. When the distance between it and the antenna is 50mm, the return signal drops by more than 20 dB. When the distance between the center of the antenna and the object is 100-150mm, the return signal drops by about 10 to 12 dB. At a distance of 100mm from the antenna, several bottles of water (plastic and glass) were measured, and the return signal was reduced by more than 10 dB. In this way, the effective collection distance will be greatly reduced when the information of such items in the box is counted. Similarly, because the containers are all made of metal, and the stacking and heavy pressure of the boxes is more serious during the stacking process, the installation of RFID tags on the container should adopt multi-directional and multi-surface installation methods to ensure the speed of data collection. And completeness.

● The use of the reader

The functions of the control unit of the reader include: communicating with the application system software and executing commands sent by the application system software; controlling the communication process with the radio frequency card (master-slave principle); signal encoding and decoding. For some special systems, there are additional functions such as implementing anti-collision algorithms, encrypting and decrypting the data to be transmitted between the radio frequency card and the reader, and performing identity verification between the radio frequency card and the reader.

The readers of Modern Technology Co., Ltd. are divided into fixed readers and mobile readers:

The DRF8900 fixed reader application is a management data collection system that is set up at the door that needs to control the entry and exit of items. The terminal can be directly connected to the dispatching management computer to complete data collection and monitoring.

DRF8901 mobile reader is a vehicle-mounted reader specially designed and launched by the company for port terminals. Its back end is directly connected to a portable notebook. The notebook is equipped with special software and database. It can also communicate with the dispatch center through a wireless network bridge. The data is transmitted to the host computer system in real time through the radio wave data transmission method (RFDC), or the data can be temporarily stored in the notebook computer, and then the data is transmitted to the host computer system through a wired method. This system has a relatively large flexibility, and is suitable for application environments where a fixed RFID system is not suitable for installation.
