With the application and development of the Internet of Things, especially the widespread application of RFID technology, it has had varying degrees of impact on people’s work and life, and has also provided a variety of integrated solutions for strengthening management in all walks of life. This article mainly introduces the application of radio frequency identification technology in the management of inland river vessels in Zhejiang from the aspects of business requirements, technology realization, function development, etc., for everyone to discuss.

 1 System overview

Zhejiang is a major water transportation province. There are nearly 1,000 inland waterways in the province, with a waterway mileage of more than 10,000 meters. It has the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, Hang-Shen Line, Changhu-Shen Line, Zha-Jia-Su Line, Hang-Hu Tin Line, Liuping-Shen Line, Qiantang In the main waterways such as Jiangxi, the number of ships operating in inland rivers has remained above 30,000 throughout the year. The number of ships is large, and the management area is wide and the quantity is large. Based on this background, the Zhejiang Inland Water Vessel Integrated Supervision System came into being. The system mainly implements automatic identification and dynamic integrated supervision of ships through the application of RFID technology.

  2 System design

2.1 System architecture

(1) Network structure
The system network structure is mainly composed of municipal monitoring centers and on-site monitoring points. The network architecture diagram is shown in the following figure:

(2) System data collection
Ship identification is completed through the onboard RFID tags, card readers, transmission network and the back-end ship integrated database. The data collection and transmission process is shown in the following figure:

2.2 System composition
The integrated supervision system of Zhejiang inland water vessels is mainly composed of electronic tags, radio frequency readers and management systems. The system composition diagram is as follows:

2.2.1 Shipborne RFID electronic tags

Shipborne electronic tags are customized by the manufacturer according to management requirements, and a unique ID number is designed, which can be bound to ship parameter information through the RFID shipborne electronic tag management system. When the user uses it, the shipborne electronic tag should be installed in the designated location of the ship. The tag ID number is the ship’s ID card, and the ship identification is performed through the channel card reader and the shipborne electronic tag to collect ship data in real time.
