The ISO-14443-A-compBelbimA.S. signed a contract with the smart card technology supplier PLASTKART smart card communication system and purchased a ticket that complies with the ISO-14443-A specification. Istanbul’s public transportation system includes bus, rail and water transportation operated by the city government, state government, and private companies. Millions of passengers use public transportation every day. Istanbul government officials are also committed to increasing investment in public transportation services, making them more modern, so as to encourage more passengers to use, thereby reducing traffic congestion. The municipality plans to expand railway transportation routes on a large scale and upgrade the electronic ticketing system to improve efficiency.
Confidex’s “five-in-one” single smart ticket will replace the traditional paper ticket, thereby upgrading the current electronic ticket system.
In 1995, Belbim AS adopted the AKBIL e-ticketing solution to simplify the integration of the ticketing system covering 17 modes of transportation and eleven operators. In May 2008, Istanbul’s buses installed a new wireless card reader, which can read the “five-in-one” ticket and the original Istanbulkart ticket based on the AKBIL device and the new smart card at the same time. When the new card reader system is installed in the turnstiles of all terminals and railway stations, new RFID tickets will also replace traditional tokens.
“We are honored to participate in this innovative electronic ticketing system project,” said Torbjrn Andersson, vice president of sales and business development at Confidex. “Our contactless PET ticket was originally designed to provide high-capacity for mass transit applications. , Customizable solutions.
