TASC Inc. has developed an RFID inventory management system for the U.S. Navy’s explosives disposal department to help them realize real-time, automatic inventory and inventory positioning of warehouses.
Using passive RFID technology, this solution not only realizes the automation of inventory counting and positioning, but also identifies freight batches containing wrong goods, or if a piece of goods is missing, the system can accurately display where it is in the warehouse Location.
With the TASC system, users can obtain real-time inventory reports and three-dimensional representations of the goods in the warehouse. This system also eliminates human error and maintains the accuracy of the actual inventory and database.
The system was jointly developed by RF Controls and TASC, and TASC was responsible for implementing the application in the warehouse of the U.S. Navy’s explosive disposal technology department in India.
