Tire bursts at high speeds are recognized as the number one killer of driving safety at high speeds. This is also a problem that domestic and foreign automotive experts want to solve but have not solved. However, in June 2008, China Geely Group successfully solved this global automotive safety technical problem and took the lead in proposing a technical solution for tire blowout monitoring and braking systems. It takes about 3 seconds for the car to lose its handling performance due to a tire blowout during high-speed driving, which is basically consistent with the driver’s braking reaction time, which makes it impossible for the driver to slow down before the car loses control. The only solution is to use an intelligent monitoring system to make up for the limitation of the driver’s braking response time lag, and to replace the human brain response with an intelligent monitoring system to resolve the disaster caused by a flat tire. Following this direction, one of the world’s leading scientific and technological achievements in the field of automotive safety was born in Geely Group, which is the “Blowout Monitoring and Safety Control System”-BMBS.

The impact of tires on vehicle driving safety has always been concerned by the automotive industry and the public. As early as 2003, the United States began to enforce the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as a standard vehicle configuration. At present, some domestic TPMS products have been put on the market, and Chong MS products have begun to be deployed in middle and high-end cars, such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and other models, and there are not a few in-use cars that are equipped with TPMS products.

The existing tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) has two types: direct and indirect. Taking the direct type as an example, it is mainly composed of two parts: the remote tire pressure monitoring module (RemoteTirepressureMonitoring, abbreviated as RTPM) installed in the car tires and the central monitor (LCD display) installed on the car driver’s platform. The remote pressure monitoring module in the tire is powered by a battery to monitor and sample tire pressure and temperature. The sampled data is transmitted by radio (the low frequency uses the RFID frequency band 125kHz to 135MHz, and the high frequency can use the radio anti-theft alarm frequency band (315MHz to 430MHz). RTPM The core is the sensor, which has two types: valve type and clamp type. It is generally composed of air pressure transmission mechanism, pressure sensor, pressure sensor data processing, RF radio frequency transmitter, trigger signal circuit and battery. The central monitor receives the transmission from the remote monitoring module The signal displays the real-time pressure and temperature of the tire on the LCD screen for the driver’s reference. If the tire pressure or temperature is abnormal, the central monitor will send an alarm signal to remind the driver to take necessary measures.
