Shandong Delis uses RFID ear tags to manage breeding pigs to ensure food safety

Through the development of a green industrial system in Zhucheng, Shandong, the residues of agricultural chemicals in poultry and livestock products have successfully reached the almost harsh limit of 0.01 mg/kg (one part per billion) in international markets such as Japan-exceeding one part per billion
“Shouguang eats vegetables, Zhucheng eats meat.” The meat products of Zhucheng, a large livestock city, are well-known all over the country, and large quantities of chicken and pork products are exported.
Nowadays, food quality and safety issues have received increasing attention from various countries. The positive list system in Japan has increased the residue limits of pesticides, veterinary drugs, and feed additives in imported foods to a level of one part per billion (0.01 mg/kg). What about the nearly harsh residual limit standards of the international market?
Scale, standardization, internationalization
Build a food quality and safety industry chain
Zhucheng’s industrialized livestock and poultry breeding is very developed. There are 16 leading agricultural industrialization enterprises above the city level, and the degree of scale is also very high. Take broilers as an example. In 2007, the city’s slaughter volume was 77.5 million, of which nearly 80% From the city’s Foreign Trade Group Co., Ltd. “This has created good conditions for promoting standardized aquaculture and ensuring food quality and safety.” Zhang Huanxin, director of the Zhucheng Agricultural and Industrial Office, introduced.
Yingmaxi Commodity Chicken Farm is one of the 55 standardized farms of Zhucheng Foreign Trade Group Co., Ltd. All chickens in the chicken farm are raised on wire racks, and the chicken manure falls to the ground under the grid through the net openings, and is regularly cleaned and sent to the treatment plant to be processed into organic fertilizer; the chicken farm is closed and hangs outside each window. A plastic net to prevent flying birds; spray disinfection lines are erected on the top of the chicken farm to disinfect the entire chicken house regularly. “Look at the eyes of those chickens, you know they live very comfortably!” The head of the field said confidently.
When it comes to the processing link, the master has become an international standard. Shandong Fengxiang Food Co., Ltd. is one of the 35 domestic specialized factories for exporting cooked products that have been certified and registered by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan. The processing workshops here are designed in strict accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Welfare. The sanitary facilities are complete and the management is very strict. . During the visit to the production line, the reporter was asked to “arm the entire body to the teeth”. This was not enough. Even the oil pen used by the reporter for recording was also required to be replaced with a special pen provided by the manufacturer. Before entering the workshop, it must go through the strict disinfection of the “disinfection line”: first soak in disinfectant water for at least 30 seconds, rinse and dry with running water, and then disinfect again with 75% alcohol. Food safety barriers have also been erected in the workshop. The raw (raw meat) and cooked (cooked products) interfaces are completely separated, and the raw material entrance, thawing room, frying room and other operation rooms are also strictly separated.
“In recent years, the quality and safety standards for importing livestock and poultry products in the international market have been raised a lot. Only by adopting large-scale, standardized, and internationalized farming and processing enterprises, can we build a food quality and safety industry chain. Invincible in the competition.” Zhucheng Foreign Trade Chairman Wang Jinyou summed up the company’s development experience in this way.
Ecological breeding, green processing, quality traceability
Produce safe and nutritious meat
In recent years, the large-scale and standardized pig breeding in Zhucheng has developed rapidly, but small and medium-sized farmers still occupy the dominant position. By raising pigs in a “five-in-one” combined ecological greenhouse, these farmers have also become an important part of the entire green pig industry system.
Donglaozhuang Village, Changcheng Town, Zhucheng City. From a distance, one by one vegetable sheds are surrounded by shades of trees. Early on the morning of May 4, 54-year-old villager Sui Jiansheng and his wife packed up the kidney beans they had just picked.
Huh? Why are there pigs in the vegetable shed? With a triumphant smile in his eyes, Lao Sui opened another inconspicuous small door in the shed: there were two pig pens inside, and a dozen piglets were eating happily.
To the north of the vegetable shed, there is a grape rack that has just sprouts. This is the rear cold shed for controlling the temperature of the vegetable shed. The biogas digester is built under the pigpen. The biogas can be used for boiling water, cooking, and lighting in the workshop at the entrance, and can also raise the temperature of the greenhouse; the biogas slurry can kill insects, and the biogas residue can be used as fertilizer. The vegetables grown in this way are almost pollution-free, and the pig raising has basically achieved zero waste discharge. Growing vegetables and raising pigs, Lao Sui earned more than 40,000 yuan last year.
“Winter-warming greenhouses, biogas digesters, livestock houses, post-cold sheds and workshops are five in one, which cleverly combines planting and aquaculture to achieve a circular economy.” Zhang Fuxiu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, said that this method is now Large-scale promotion throughout the city.
The pigs raised by Lao Sui are sold to Delis Group in the city through the professional pig cooperative. Here, live pigs are slaughtered and processed into various meat products. In the company’s product exhibition counter, a variety of meat products are dazzling, and the fresh meat products look very delicate and lovable.
The whole set of pig slaughtering and processing lines of Delisi are imported from the European Union, and carry out “green” slaughtering and processing in accordance with EU import and export standards and European animal welfare standards. Live pigs can be received only after they have passed the quarantine inspection, and the quarantine personnel will issue a permit for slaughter. The live pigs first take a warm bath in the slaughter pen, listen to light music, rest and relax for 24 hours, and then send them to the automatic straddle stun machine. The low-pressure pulse three-click stun technology makes the pigs die in two seconds. Avoid the secretion of toxins in the body due to tension, anger, and high nerve tension before the pigs are slaughtered; two full-automatic horizontal and vertical flaps and massages, so that the muscles of the pigs are in a primitive relaxed state, and the texture and meat quality are straightened out and improved ; Fully automatic hair-burning singeing stove completely removes pig hair and kills bacteria on pig carcass. There are five simultaneous quarantine “checkpoints” in the production process, and they will be inspected again after slaughter to ensure that they are foolproof; the pig carcasses that have passed the inspection are cooled and deacidified for more than 24 hours. The chilled meat produced in this way is almost aseptic as raw and edible, and is exported in large quantities to the European Union, Singapore, Russia and other international markets.
In addition to the quarantine checks in the production and processing, in order to further ensure food quality and safety, Delis also applied RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) ear tags to manage pigs in pig farms, and applied barcode technology and RFID technology in the warehousing and logistics department. In this way, the entire industrial chain and circulation line of live pig production has implemented a food safety traceability system, which effectively ensures that consumers can eat meat with confidence.
