 demand analysis

The situation of modern warfare is complex and changeable. The suddenness of the start of the war, the cruelty of the war itself, and the harsh battlefield environment will all bring serious physical and psychological harm to soldiers participating in the war. How to monitor the physical status of soldiers in real time, quickly and accurately determine the personal details of the injured soldier’s identity, injuries and other personal details, and quickly launch an emergency medical management system to replace the traditional and backward battlefield wounded treatment and management methods. Significantly increase the healing rate of the wounded on the battlefield in the future to ensure the combat effectiveness of the troops. It will also become the top priority of the future battlefield emergency medical system.

With the development of radio frequency identification (Radio Frequency Identification), referred to as RFID for short, the development of technology is becoming more and more mature. The research and realization of the application of RFID technology in the field of battlefield emergency medical management has a relatively good technical feasibility and is in line with the reform of the military medical system management model. The direction can be continuously improved in the application. Due to the particularity of military medical management systems, existing systems from foreign countries cannot be fully introduced, nor can they be completely relied on for development and research by foreign companies or domestic local units. We should mainly learn from the mature technology and successful experience of domestic and foreign application systems, and combine the actual situation of our army to innovatively develop a battlefield emergency medical management system that conforms to the actual situation of our army.

  System principle

Soldiers participating in the war wear wristband-type electronic tags, which store electronic data in an agreed format. When a soldier is injured, the doctor can use a handheld PDA to read and identify the electronic data stored in the wristband electronic tag, thereby automatically identifying the soldier’s identity. The handheld PDA sends out a certain frequency radio frequency signal through the antenna, and sends out its own coding and other information, which is read and decoded by the receiver and sent to the host computer for related processing. Finally, the injured soldier’s name, blood type, allergy history and other information were confirmed.

 Realized function

1 Establish a soldier’s electronic medical record card

The soldier electronic medical record card is an electronic memory card used to record, store, and transmit medical data, with a very small size. According to storage size, data transmission speed and different shape design, it can store all personal electronic medical records of soldiers, including digital images. It is convenient for the doctor to have a more comprehensive understanding of the soldier’s body.

2 Monitor the physical status of soldiers

The main vital signs of soldiers can be monitored in real time. Once someone is injured on the battlefield, information on the main body parts of the injured can be provided to the doctor in time. Combined with the geographic information provided by the Global Positioning System, doctors can accurately estimate and determine the location and injury of the wounded, and prepare for effective treatment measures.

3 Establish a three-dimensional treatment system

When the wounded soldier needs treatment, the doctor can read out a series of information such as his identity and allergy history according to the label, and take corresponding treatment measures. When the battlefield conditions cannot meet the treatment needs, doctors can write treatment recommendations into tags, and these data are transmitted to the command center through satellites, and the command center will coordinate resources to arrange treatment. A three-dimensional treatment system is formed from the “battlefield” to the “frontline treatment station” to the “field medical clinic” to the “rear hospital”, which saves time to the greatest extent and guarantees the timeliness and accuracy of treatment.

Achieved effect
◆Quickly determine the location of the wounded on the battlefield to facilitate timely rescue by medical staff
◆Completely record the soldiers’ cases, take more accurate treatment measures, and avoid medication errors
◆Uniformly dispatched by the command center to realize fully intelligent coordination of resources in medical care facilities
◆Significantly shorten the treatment time of the wounded
◆Realize real-time monitoring during the transportation of the wounded
◆Greatly improve the healing rate of the wounded
◆Maximum protection of our army’s combat effectiveness

  in conclusion

In the 21st century, the construction of military informationization and the military struggle against Taiwan have put forward an urgent need for the research of the soldier’s electronic injury system. Speeding up the development of our military’s field emergency medical management system is undoubtedly of far-reaching significance for improving the comprehensive treatment capabilities of our military’s medical system. Under peaceful conditions, the Soldier’s Electronic Injury System can be used by various hospitals and civilian rescue workers for humanitarian rescue, peacekeeping, disaster relief, etc., especially for our country, during various natural disasters and sudden public health security incidents. If it happens, it will cause a large number of casualties each time, so this system can also achieve great benefits in the civilian field.
