UPM Raflatac is currently supplying RFID chips for the large-scale performances held in Sestriere, Italy, for the management of personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the performances. RFID plastic document containing UPM Raflatac’s HF RFID chip

UPM Raflatac’s HF RFID chip is encapsulated in a PVC card and label, and is now being verified and issued jointly by Italian access control management companies Alfi and Brightpoint.

At the performance site, all personnel authorized by the performance organizer will receive an RFID plastic certificate with personal information and access authorization. These RFID cards will be used to identify those who are allowed to enter and exit the performance venue, including reporters, athletes, specially invited representatives to administrative officials and operators. The chip will also be used to identify vehicles, and vehicles that are allowed to enter and exit the performance venue will receive an RFID pass.

The staff held an RFID reader to scan the vehicle and people, and the reader was provided by Brightpoint. The RFID identification card used by the personnel and the RFID pass used by the vehicle are produced by printers and encoders. The printer and encoder are provided by Alfi, which is also responsible for all system integration tasks.
