TAGSYS, the world’s leading supplier of item-level RFID basic components, announced that Boboli, a famous Spanish children’s fashion house, is preparing to use RFID technology to track and manage children’s clothing throughout the process, from factory production to sales counters, to improve work efficiency.

The fashion house produces 2 million sets of children’s clothing every year and needs to deliver children’s clothing to 30 marketing stores. The scope of clothing supply covers Europe, Arab countries, the Far East, and the Americas. Boboli Fashion House is Spain’s first branded fashion manufacturer, determined to invest in an RFID item-level tracking system.

The preliminary exploratory project consists of the TAGSYS UHF channel, which can scan and read the contents of the RFID tags on the children’s fashion in a few seconds, whether it is entering or exiting the warehouse. The scanned items are automatically compared with the contents of the box label to ensure that the appearance of the box is consistent with the contents of the box. Boboli expects that the time that goods stay in the distribution center can be reduced by 5 days through this method. The ultimate goal is that Boboli can quickly and accurately complete inventory replenishment to ensure that the goods will not be out of stock during the peak sales season.

The preliminary exploratory project is ready to cover 10% of Boboli’s products, and finally all products are tracked using RFID technology. The final phase of the project plans to integrate TAGSYS RFID technology at the store level to achieve full visibility of products and full tracking from production to sales.

Mr. Domingo Garrido, Marketing Director of Boboli, said: “For us, this is a strategic gamble. We need to optimize the operation process, maintain the momentum of business expansion, while reducing operating costs, one step ahead of our competitors.”

Cetemmsa, the partner of TAGSYS, is the Spanish innovation and technology center, responsible for project planning, implementation, technical support, and consulting and training for Boboli employees. TAGSYS’s preferred label partner, Avery Dennison, a well-known label company in the European fashion industry, provides hanging labels with integrated TAGSYS UHF tags.

Mr Didier Mattalia, Sales Director of Fashion and Apparel Department of TAGSYS, said: “Our partner’s solution proves once again that it is effective. The integrated turnkey RFID solution provided to Boboli is an integrated turnkey RFID solution. I am very grateful to Cetemmsa and Avery Dennison for their support. We are getting more attention in the fashion manufacturing and retail industry.”
