The company proposed to use bar codes for data collection, and part of its business relied on bar codes to get rid of manual entry. I hope to use the barcode data collection function in the raw material procurement warehousing, production picking, inventory, receiving, shipping, outsourcing warehouse, outsourcing receiving, etc., and import the collected data into the ERP system in batches.
2. Scheme
a. Solution
Paste material bar code labels on the purchased goods into the warehouse to facilitate the bar code collection for subsequent operations.
As the current workload is relatively large, it is the procurement, warehouse transfer and inventory business, so first of all, barcode data collection is used for these three businesses. That is, the staff in the raw material warehouse warehousing, the batching rack of the on-site kanban, the raw material stocking warehouse, and the finished product warehouse staff are equipped with hand-held collection terminals for bar code data.
When performing warehousing, shifting, inventory counting, receiving, shipping, outsourcing shifting, and outsourcing receiving operations, use the data collector to scan the bar code or enter the data, and use the background software to convert the data into CIM format and then import it To the ERP system. The ERP system used by the company is QAD. Taking into account the security of ERP, the data collected by the data collector is first converted into a CIM approved format, and then imported into the ERP system in batches by means of CIM Load.
b. Business process
1. Material labeling
Through the barcode printing software that comes with the printer, the barcodes of all materials, supplier barcodes, and location barcodes are printed out. The warehouse is pasted on the shelf, and the production line is pasted on the card and hung on the material box.
2. Warehousing of raw materials
Before raw materials are put into storage, a purchase order detail needs to be generated through the QAD system and saved in a text file format in the designated location of the server. Then the barcode system connects to the server to download this file and downloads it to the data collector. In addition, the supplier details and material details in the QAD system need to be downloaded to the data collector in the same way.
When raw materials are put into storage, use the collector to scan the supplier number and material number, and then enter the quantity and location number. The collector performs matching and confirmation according to the order.
After the raw material warehousing business is over, the barcode system will read the warehousing file in the collector, convert the format and upload it to the server, and finally use the customized program of the QAD system to import it into the QAD system in batches.
3. Outsourcing receipt
The process of outsourcing goods receipt is the same as that of raw material storage, but the sequence needs to be input when scanning.
4. Material transfer to the warehouse

5. Material inventory
During material inventory, use the data collector to scan the material numbers of all materials, enter the location number and quantity, and save them in the inventory file. After the inventory is completed, upload the inventory file to the computer.
6. Production picking
Scan the picking demand on the batching rack of the production line, that is, use the wireless data collector to scan the required material number, destination line, and quantity, and save it in the server in real time. After the picking demand reaches the set number or exceeds the set time, The requisition printing program automatically prints out the requisition.
