After taking a bath but forgetting to turn off the gas; accidentally using electrical appliances to cause a fire; accidentally falling and no one was sent to the doctor in time; having mobility problems requiring someone to look after but the children are not around… Similar situations have brought a lot of inconvenience to the elderly.
With the launch of the “Golden Elderly” Informationized Elderly Care Service Project in Jinchang District, these problems that plague elderly care for the elderly will be solved one by one. The project uses the Internet of Things technology to receive the alarm in time through sensing equipment and call terminals, and proactively intervene in services, so that the elderly will have an “electronic nanny” around them.
The “Golden Elderly” information-based elderly care service project was jointly developed and implemented by the Jinchang District Government and Suzhou Mingdao Security Co., Ltd. The project relies on the technology platform of the Internet of Things. The elderly and their families use the “Ping An Tong” terminal to transfer the elderly service request or emergency call to the computer room of the “Golden Elderly” service center, and the center immediately instructs the home care service center or related agencies to send a professional Service staff or volunteers go to the service. For some special elderly people, the project also adds sensor equipment such as video surveillance, gas leaks, smoke, and personnel positioning, and transmits the information to the service platform alarm center. The center will quickly dispatch relevant personnel to assist 24 hours a day according to the situation of the alarm.
The service targets of the first phase of the project are more than 200 government-paid home care service targets and the original “Yizhitong” users in the jurisdiction. In the long term, it will also be extended to other elderly in the jurisdiction, and the service items will also be extended to various special and personalized services, such as catering services, anti-theft, fire protection, video surveillance, GPS positioning, health monitoring, patient care, purchasing agents, and Services such as travel escort, study and training. For the elderly users who enjoy the government-purchased home care services in the first phase, the government will pay for various equipment and services. For the elderly in other society in the long-term, in addition to the old people who enjoy government home care services, the government pays for the ordinary terminal and pays the service fee, and they can purchase ordinary or high-end equipment and services such as smoke and video according to their needs.
Jia Bingyan, a 90-year-old old man in Caixiang Second Village, became one of the first batch of experiencers. His children are busy with work, and his daily life depends on his eighty-year-old wife to take care of him. Nowadays, as long as the children turn on their mobile phones, they can watch the life videos of the elderly. “Don’t worry anymore,” the family said happily.
