Swiss clothing company Heidi expands its business scale through online retail. A total of two virtual shopping platforms are installed in the store, one of which is installed at the entrance and the other is installed inside the store.

When arriving at the store for the first time, the customer puts their NFC VIP card on the RFID reader, and forwards the relevant information in the card to the back-end server through a wired connection, where the ID code of the NFC card is associated with the customer’s personal information . The customer’s name and welcome message will be displayed on the screen. Customers can also obtain promotional information and their own preferences selected by the system.

At the same time, the NFC system has two sets of applications developed by Red Ant, one is MyHeidi application that can be installed on NFC mobile phones, and the other is a management program developed for Hedi employees. Through this program, customers enter the store , Store employees can receive prompt information, such as customers’ purchase levels, preferences and other information.

The company predicts that there will be more users using NFC mobile phones than NFC VIP cards. Based on the successful application of NFC technology in flagship stores, the company will apply (NFC) RFID technology in other stores across Europe.
