Portable wireless monitoring helps Suzhou Power Grid standardize construction management
[ad_1]
In June 2010, Suzhou Power Grid adopted Kodak’s portable wireless monitoring solution to provide visual and remote guidance for substation engineering installation and emergency repairs of power facilities through the 3G network, and to conduct visual supervision of standardized construction.
The project consists of Keda’s portable wireless front-end and monitoring platform. Kodak’s portable wireless surveillance front end adopts a suitcase-style shell, built-in pan-tilt camera, wireless encoder, battery, tripod and other equipment, which is convenient to carry, quick to deploy, and has functions such as waterproof, moisture-proof, and high-temperature resistance. It is suitable for field operations. Remote monitoring is very suitable for occasions such as power grid construction and emergency repairs. Through the 3G (EVDO or WCDMA) wireless network, the wireless portable front end can transmit real-time images of the construction site to the monitoring center, which can remotely supervise the standardized construction of the project site, and provide guidance and coordination for emergencies.
Topology
Real-time image monitoring is the most important application of Suzhou Power Grid for engineering supervision. Through the portable monitoring terminal deployed at the construction site, the user can understand the progress of the project in the monitoring center, monitor whether the construction personnel are standardizing the construction, whether the construction is safe and so on. There are two ways of image browsing: TV wall and PC. In the monitoring center, users can remotely control the up, down, left, and right rotation and reset of the front-end camera pan-tilt, and can zoom in and out of the lens, so that the scene situation can be seen at a glance.
Enterprise Client
In addition, construction video can be stored locally and remotely, and there are multiple storage methods such as planned video, loop video, alarm video, etc., which can fully record the construction situation. If major engineering problems or accidents occur, grid users can also monitor them afterwards. The central storage system retrieves the video for verification.
