Manor AG is one of the largest retailers in Switzerland. The company now uses an RFID tracking system in its two distribution centers and their corresponding distribution stores. It is hoped that this system can improve inventory management, export shipping accuracy, and domestic store cargo receiving processes.
The new tracking system is installed in distribution centers in Hochdorf and Mohlin, using labeled containers and other loading equipment to track clothing and daily necessities placed on mixed pallets, loaded on trucks. In order to simplify this process, Manor and suppliers are now cooperating to pre-label domestic products. When the product arrives at the store, the RFID reader scans the tag and records the product data into the store’s inventory system.
The new system uses Reva Systems’ Tag Acquisition Processor products and Sirit’s INfinity 510 RFID reader. The Swiss integrator Rodata AG is responsible for the installation of this system.
