Project Background
As a new retail format of Alibaba’s complete reconstruction of offline supermarkets, Hema Xiansheng. Hema is a supermarket, a restaurant, and a vegetable market, but this description seems inaccurate. Consumers can buy at the store or place an order on the Hema App. One of the biggest features of Hema is fast delivery: within 3 kilometers of the store, it will be delivered to your door in 30 minutes. With the continuous expansion of Hema’s “new retail” business, Hema’s requirements for label picking have become higher and higher.
solution
In early December, Hema’s first convenience store f2 (Fast & Fresh) opened in Shanghai Baijinwan Plaza. The electronic label picking system (DPS system) provided by Haiding. The Hema f2 convenience store focuses on catering. Through the “Hema APP + Order Management System (OMS)”, it is connected to the Haiding DPS self-service meal collection system to realize services such as “select at the store” and “pickup at the store”.
Warm Pavilion–Haiding Electronic Label Control System (DPS)
The DPS system guides customers to self-service meals. By scanning the barcode generated by the order, the electronic label of the category in the “warm pavilion” is illuminated, and the customer takes out the corresponding meal according to the number of copies displayed on the electronic label, thereby completing the self-service meal.
The DPS control system used in this self-service meal counter was independently developed by the Haiding logistics team. This is the first time that the electronic label operation mode has been moved from the distribution center behind the scenes to the store consumption scene in front of the stage, achieving an average meal pick-up time per order Within 3 seconds. Combining the application of Haiding DPS mainly reduces the waiting time of customers in two aspects: shortening the time of catering preparation and queuing for meals.
