I. Overview


Power cables and equipment often cause fires due to overheating in the power industry, resulting in large-area cable burns and equipment damage and forced shutdowns. Production cannot be resumed in a short period of time, resulting in significant economic losses. Through accident analysis, the direct causes of electrical equipment overheating and fires are poor quality of cable intermediate joints, insufficient crimping joints, excessive contact resistance, overheating of cable heads and burning through insulation caused by long-term operation. The crimping quality of the cable middle joint can only be found in operation. The longer the operation time, the more likely to cause overheating and burn-through accidents.

The specific locations of power station equipment that need to monitor temperature include: conductive busbar connectors, high-voltage switch cabinet contacts, knife switches, dry-type transformers, box-type substations and other equipment surfaces. The characteristics of these temperature measurement locations are:

(1) There are many detection points that need temperature measurement: preliminary statistics of a 220KV substation of various cable joints amount to thousands.

(2) The locations of the detection points are very different: some are indoors, some are outdoors, some are in the control cabinet, and some are exposed at high altitude.

(3) The voltage of the detection point is as high as hundreds of thousands of volts, and the current is tens of amperes or even hundreds of amperes, and there are extremely strong electromagnetic field interference around.

(4) The detection point is far away from the power control center, some as far as tens of kilometers.

(5) Due to the large number of detection points or complex locations, the detection personnel often have insufficient sense of responsibility and the authenticity of the detection data is not high.

It can be seen that these detection points cannot be used for temperature detection by conventional wired methods at all.

2. System characteristics


(1) Electronic tags are used, and all detection points can be configured with IDs to avoid detection failures.

(2) The temperature measuring gun of spot inspection equipment adopts non-contact infrared temperature measurement to avoid direct contact with high voltage and large current, which guarantees the safety of inspectors.

(3) The inspection equipment adopts 2.4G wireless transmission, which has strong anti-interference ability; it uses GPRS as the transmission network through the bridge to transmit the data to the power control center. The spot inspection equipment can store 1000 pieces of data, and can send single or multiple pieces of data, which meets the changing detection methods on site.

(4) Adopting GPRS network, the data collection range is wide, the transmission rate is high, and the transmission data volume is large. The collected data can be directly sent to the control center of the electric power department at all levels, or the mobile phone of the relevant personnel, and the management is convenient and fast.

 
Three, system block diagram

Since GPRS communication is a data packet communication network based on IP addresses, the power control center computer host is equipped with a fixed IP address, and each point of inspection equipment data collection point communicates with the host through the GPRS module.

 
Four, system composition

(1) Electronic label

When the spot inspector holds the spot inspection instrument close to the device, the electronic tag automatically transmits the device ID, serial number and other information to the spot inspection instrument (portable thermometer) through 2.4G wireless mode, and the instrument will collect the electronic label information and collect information It is sent to the monitoring center via 2.4G wireless mode. Electronic tags can be fixed by magnets or in other ways, and placed in places out of the reach of people to avoid man-made damage. In addition, pollution such as oil smoke and dust will not have any impact on wireless transmission. Different information can be set for each inspection point, which eliminates cheating and undetected behaviors in the inspection work.

(2) Spot inspection equipment (portable thermometer)

It is used for field equipment temperature data collection and wireless transmission. It is manually carried to the spot inspection site for testing. Before the temperature spot inspection, you need to walk closer to the equipment identification plate to read the device address code (ie, device ID), and then Perform detection according to the test point serial number, and transmit the detected temperature data to the bridge closest to it. The temperature spot checker is equipped with a buffer, which can store 1000 pieces of temperature data. In actual operation, it can send a single data or multiple data in a centralized manner.

(3) Bridge

The bridge is a device that converts the 2.4G wireless mode of the spot inspection equipment to the GPRS transmission mode. It can be placed on the inspector’s car and powered by a battery. The network bridge is composed of 2.4G receiving equipment and GPRS. The inspection equipment transmits the detected data to the 2.4G receiving equipment inside the network bridge. The receiving equipment transfers the data to the GPRS module, and transmits the data back to the electricity through the China Mobile GPRS network.
