  1. Project background

The RFID-based warehouse management system is mainly composed of card readers, tags and professional management software. It has multiple functions such as portal access control, real-time monitoring of items, and security and anti-theft alarms. It mainly facilitates the management and statistics of items and greatly improves warehouse management. The efficiency, thereby providing users with an efficient and economical working environment. It has realized communication automation (CA), office automation (OA) and management automation (BA) in terms of function. Based on the integrated wiring system and the computer network as a bridge, it fully realizes the integrated management of communication systems and office automation systems.

The system has the following characteristics:

※ Apply RFID technology to realize the life cycle management of equipment from purchase to scrap.

※ From purchasing, warehousing, transferring, inventory to scrapping, realize the automation of asset identification.

※ From the physical point of view, it is compared with the financial account, and the two correspond to each other. In the true sense, the account, card, and property are consistent.

※ By using suitable RFID tags, equipment/personnel can be tracked to ensure that expensive equipment can be obtained anytime and anywhere when needed.

※ The fully visualized information platform provides users with the convenience of timely grasp of asset conditions, rational allocation of resources, and realization of tracking of non-networked tangible resources.

※Fixed asset management” function effectively manages the quasi-fixed assets that have not been converted, and makes up for the shortcomings of the original bar code asset management system.

※ The system integrates the asset, financial and business management departments through a centralized management operation mode, aiming to establish a unified, effective, real-time and electronic process asset resource management system.

※ It saves time for inventory of fixed assets and improves the efficiency of inventory of fixed assets.

※ Strengthen quasi-asset management to avoid repeated purchases and waste.

※ The powerful RFID information collector can record more asset-related information and assist in the refinement of asset management.

※ Asset management is more flexible and accurate. Through the large amount of RFID information and the characteristics of modification, the visualization of asset status is realized.

※ RFID can record the dynamic information of assets, such as: equipment configuration, requisition and return records, main components, annual inspection status, etc.

 2. Introduction to RFID technology

RFID is the abbreviation of Radio Frequency Identification, which is a non-contact automatic identification technology. RFID can be traced back to the Second World War (around 1940), when the main function of RFID was to distinguish between enemy and British aircraft. In recent years, with the development of large-scale integrated circuits, network communications, information security and other technologies, as well as the promotion of the world’s number one retailer Wal-Mart and the US Department of Defense, RFID has been rapidly applied to smart grids, transportation, logistics, medical and health, Fine agriculture and animal husbandry, finance and service industry, industry and automatic control, smart home, environment and safety inspection, public safety, national defense and military, smart city and other industries and fields.

RFID uses radio frequency signals to automatically identify target objects and obtain related data. It is mainly composed of an electronic tag (Tag), a reader (Reader), and an antenna (Antenna). The tag is composed of a coupling element (also called an antenna) and a chip. Each tag has a unique electronic code (EPC), and the chip can store a specific serial number and other information. The reader is the connection bridge between the tag and the software system. On the one hand, it reads the tag information, and on the other hand, it communicates the reading result with the software system. The antenna exists in the tag and the reader, and is responsible for the data transmission task from the tag chip to the reader to the software system.

RFID technology is divided into low frequency, high frequency, ultra high frequency, active, etc. according to frequency band. RFID technology has non-contact, fast scanning, high identification efficiency, not easy to be damaged, suitable for harsh environments, convenient operation, fast reading and writing speed, Large amount of information storage, one card for multiple uses, anti-collision, good security and encryption performance, reusability, tracking and positioning characteristics.

UHF RFID is mainly used in this scheme, which can realize long-distance reading.

  3. System application architecture

The system application architecture is divided into three logical levels: acquisition layer, application layer, and presentation layer.

◎ Acquisition layer: Readers (fixed readers, handhelds, card issuers, etc.) read the electronic label data, and then transmit it to the ERP system through the network, etc.

◎ Application layer: Realize the application of warehouse management and asset management on the basis of RFID system.

◎ Presentation layer: Users can log in to the system through ERP systems, computers, handhelds, etc., to manage data.

 4. Electronic label scheme

We choose different labels according to the materials of daily products and assets. For general goods, we recommend using Label, and for metal goods, we recommend using anti-metal labels. The picture is as follows:

 5. Asset management system

The RFID asset management system uses radio frequency technology (RFID) to equip each fixed asset with an electronic tag with a globally unique ID number, and uses a handheld reader for asset inventory, which can quickly read the electronic tag information on the device. The read tag information is sent to the background server for processing through the built-in communication wireless communication module. The fixed reader is used for access control. The antenna adopts a circularly polarized antenna to ensure multi-angle tag recognition. The installation of the reader at the elevator entrance (stairway) can achieve asset tracking.

Tracking, real-time tracking of the floor where assets enter, and at the same time, realizing all-round and accurate supervision of fixed assets from the aspects of new addition, allocation, idleness, scrapping, maintenance and inventory, combined with asset classification statistics and other reports to truly realize “accounts, cards, materials” Match.

This solution is mainly to install RFID equipment at the stairs to locate the assets in the office building and know the location of the assets at any time.

According to the data of the RFID handset and the data in the database, the normal or abnormal data is processed, and the actual situation of the fixed assets can be obtained. The inventory profit schedule, inventory loss schedule, and Inventory summary table.

5.1, system advantages

The whole system has the characteristics of long-distance rapid identification, high reliability, high confidentiality, and easy operation. The advantages are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

* RFID technology is simple to operate and more effective

The traditional management method is to read each tag at a short distance, which is inconvenient to operate; now it is non-contact reading and writing, which can reach several meters or even ten meters, which is more convenient to read.

* Strong anti-pollution performance and durability

The current UHF tags are durable, not easily damaged, can last as long as ten years, and have strong anti-pollution performance.

* reusable

The RFID tag can repeatedly add, modify, and delete the data stored in the RFID tag to facilitate the update of information.

* Penetrating and unbarred reading

RFID is capable of penetrating reading and penetrating communication.
