 1. System background

The application of RFID system technology in the reflow process of surgical instruments in the medical field has strong originality. After the completion of this system, it will meet the needs of continuous changes and development of the reflow process of surgical medical devices, and fundamentally reverse the passive situation of surgical package process management. , Improve the hospital’s processing capacity in the management of surgical instrument disinfection, meet the hospital’s medical equipment disinfection process information and humanized business innovation requirements, improve the hospital’s competitiveness in the increasingly complex market environment, and strengthen the hospital’s technological leadership in the medical field Status. Chuangyi Technology has developed a RFID surgical instrument reflow program.

More importantly, the application of RFID technology in the return link of surgical instruments will effectively ensure the safety of surgical instruments and improve the hospital’s safety management mechanism.

This system uses radio frequency identification technology (i.e. RFID technology) to solve the current lack of quantitative standards for traditional medical device return management. The radio frequency card identification technology is applied to the medical device sterilization process management system, with the goal of establishing a complete, flexible and real-time medical device sterilization process management system.

  Second, the system process

1. System principle

System flow chart

1), number

Each surgical instrument package and instrument is equipped with an RFID tag, which is responsible for collecting and storing the attribute information of the surgical package process, including the type and number of the surgical instrument, quantity, packing personnel number, packaging date, surgical package type, disinfection date, etc. These data can be read in the entire process, and data such as distribution, recycling, and cleaning can also be added at any time;

2), disinfection

The sterilizing nurse logs in to the system software through his own account, reads the data of the label on the instrument bag with a handheld PDA, and then records the start time of the disinfection. After setting the disinfection time, put the labelled instrument bag in Enter the disinfection cabinet for disinfection. The system software monitors the disinfection process at any time through the electronic label, and checks whether the disinfection is complete through the set time. Only when the disinfection is complete, the disinfection nurse can exit the system and take out the disinfected instrument package. Otherwise, as long as one package is not completely disinfected, the nurse will give a corresponding prompt when exiting the system, prompting the nurse to continue disinfecting. Once the disinfection is complete, the system will record the end of the disinfection time.

3), storage

After the disinfection nurse confirms that the disinfection is complete, put the disinfected instrument package in the surgical instrument cabinet for storage. When placing the instrument in the cabinet for storage, start to record the storage time, and set that if the instrument pack is not used for surgery for more than 15 days, the disinfection nurse will be prompted to perform disinfection.

The sterilized instrument packs are placed in the instrument cabinets in the order of disinfection by the department, and each instrument cabinet is equipped with a fixed card reader. The fixed reader recognizes the data in the tag and judges whether it matches the information of the equipment cabinet. When the nurse stores the equipment bag, if the storage department and time location are not correct, an alarm will be issued to remind the nurse that the equipment bag or the equipment storage location is wrong, so that the department nurse can find the equipment bag more easily.

Install readers on the equipment cabinet, manage the entry and exit of the equipment package into and out of the equipment cabinet, and clarify the responsibilities.

Disinfection cabinet

4), distribution

When each department wants to use the equipment package, the nurses of each department use the PDA to read the label information of the equipment package, and record the time and personnel used to retrieve the equipment package and what operation it is used for. At the same time, the label on the equipment cabinet records the above information for future inquiries.

5), recycling

After the operation is completed, the nurse responsible for the recovery packs each instrument with a PDA, reads the attributes of the label, and records the number of recovered instruments, whether there is any damage, etc., and then hand it over to the disinfection nurse after recovery. After receiving the recovered equipment package, the disinfection nurse used the PDA to scan the data on the label of the equipment package and analyzed whether the data was correct. Sterilize the instrument package after confirmation.

 Three, function

1. Equipment package information (surgical equipment type and number, quantity, packaging personnel number, packaging date, surgical package type, disinfection date, etc.)

When the label is placed in the equipment bag and medical equipment, the nature of the equipment bag and the equipment is entered, so that the software system can query the information of the equipment bag and the equipment at any time through the PDA, and the information entry, which was originally completed by humans. Now, the labor trouble is saved through RFID technology.

2. Disinfection process (name of equipment, quantity, disinfection personnel, start time, end time, whether disinfection is complete, etc.)

Start timing when the instrument package is placed in the disinfection cabinet. When the disinfection time does not reach the prescribed disinfection time, the system displays whether the disinfection is complete item is “No”, indicating that the disinfection is not completed; only when the disinfection time reaches or exceeds the prescribed time When the disinfection is complete, the system displays “No”. When the disinfection complete item displayed by the system is “No”, the disinfection nurse cannot take out the instrument package or instruments.

3. Storage of the equipment cabinet (name of equipment, quantity, department, deposit time, submission time, presenting personnel, etc.)

After the disinfection is complete, the disinfection nurse will store the instrument packs or instruments in the corresponding instrument cabinets. For instrument packs or instruments that have not been used for nearly 15 days, the system will raise an alarm and notify the managing nurse to bring these instruments out for disinfection in time to prevent the department. The nurse took away the instruments that had not been sterilized for nearly 15 days.

4. Equipment in use (name of equipment, department, time of proposal, person who proposes, etc.)

There will be statistics on the device system in use, so that the responsible person can be identified when the device is lost or damaged.

5. Equipment recycling (name of equipment package, name of operation, expected quantity, actual quantity, recycling personnel, receiving personnel, etc.)

After the operation is completed, the recovery nurse arranges the instrument package, checks whether the condition of the instrument is consistent with the data in the PDA, and records the time of recovery and delivery. After confirmation, the sterilized equipment package will be forwarded to the disinfection nurse. When receiving the equipment package, the disinfection nurse also uses the PDA to confirm whether the information of the equipment package is consistent with the original data, and records the time when the equipment package is handed over.

6. Apparatus packs that have not been sterilized for nearly 15 days (name of instrument pack)

The label starts to set the timing when entering the instrument cabinet, and the department nurse ends the timing and clears the timing data when extracting the instrument package. The system is set for 14 days. If the instrument pack is not picked up by the department nurse after 14 days, the fixed card reader on the instrument cabinet will give an alarm to remind the disinfectant nurse to disinfect, and also remind the department nurse that the instrument pack cannot be picked up.
