Power Asset Management System Based on RFID Technology
[ad_1]
Project Background
Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau is a super large power supply enterprise affiliated to China Southern Power Grid Guangdong Power Grid Company. It supplies power to 10 administrative districts and 2 county-level cities in Guangzhou. It has a power supply area of 7,434 square kilometers, a population of 9.53 million and a power supply customer of 4.015 million. There are currently 154 110 kV substations, 27 220 kV substations, and 3 500 kV substations. It is a safe, reliable, technologically advanced, and modern power grid company.
The particularity of China Southern Power Grid makes the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau use pure paper or traditional in asset management, which cannot meet the needs of data visualization. It often consumes a lot of precious time and manpower to check assets or conduct equipment inspections and understand the situation. Material resources also require employees to have a high sense of responsibility.
The Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau considers the use of modern technology and complete information systems to manage and allocate assets. Based on RFID technology, Supai provides complete solutions and implementation plans for Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau’s asset visualization and equipment inspections.
RFID tag and reading equipment selection
Outdoor high-voltage equipment must be operated on designated safe paths accompanied by staff during asset inventory based on safety factors. Some equipment may be about 10 meters away from the channel, so there are higher requirements for RFID scanning distance. The active tag reading distance used by Showpad can reach 15 meters.
In addition, because the outdoor environment is usually harsh, the industrial strength of the label is also required (high temperature resistance, waterproof, etc.), and the industrial grade of the active label of Supai can reach IP65.
For indoor equipment, we use passive tags. When we use mobile reading devices, passive tags can be successfully read within 2 meters, which can fully meet customer application requirements.
The mobile reading device uses Teklogix WorkPro G2, which is rugged and durable, with an industrial grade of IP65; both active and passive RFID reading heads are built in WorkPro G2, and a barcode scanning module is included. The highly integrated hardware equipment ensures that customers can One machine is convenient and flexible for multiple uses; the operating system uses WinCE5.0, and the RFID handheld client software and support developed by Showpad ensure the complete application and ease of use of the entire RFID system.
RFID subsystem process
System advantages
Real-time accuracy and safety: The use of active RFID outdoors ensures that asset information can be obtained in quasi real-time, and the safety of operators is ensured through remote reading.
? High cost performance: The low cost of indoor passive RFID applications is combined with active RFID, which reduces the user’s investment on the premise of ensuring the availability of the system, thereby obtaining a higher cost performance.
? Life cycle management support: RFID can support writing data, such as the state of the asset, and can proofread and mark at the same time as the inventory. With the support of the software system, it can ensure that the entire life cycle of the asset can be managed.
? High efficiency: After the application of RFID technology, since multiple tags can be read at a time, the inventory efficiency is greatly improved.
? Highly integrated and flexible equipment: The use of highly integrated handheld devices can support active and passive tags at the same time, and barcode reading can be used as a supplement to the system, so that customers can apply more flexibly.
? High accuracy rate: At the 500,000 volt Beijiao station of the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau, after all the tags were installed, we conducted an inventory and reading effect test. The inventory result was that all 426 tags were read, and the accuracy rate was 100%. The inventory time is about 2 hours.
? Anti-interference long-distance reading: high anti-interference ability of RFID tags. In the case of electromagnetic interference, the effective and stable reading distance of outdoor active tags is 12 meters (the safe distance under 500,000 volt main transformer equipment is 5 meters), and the maximum reading distance is 25 meters, which can meet the requirements of Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau for asset inventory and Distance requirements for production safety.
system structure
System process summary description
When operating the system, it is necessary to import the sorted asset ledger data into the system.
The card issuance program is executed through the PC, including card issuance, printing of identification labels and record keeping.
The PC client generates basic account data and inventory orders.
Download the account information and inventory order to the RF terminal through the synchronization program.
Carry out the sticking operation (manual operation), and can be checked by RF handheld.
After the card is applied, the inventory can be performed.
After the inventory is completed, it can be downloaded to the PC through the synchronization program.
The PC program can generate and export the inventory results.
