1. Application background:

The radio frequency automatic identification toll collection system (ETC) is currently the most advanced road and bridge toll collection method in the world. Through the special short-range communication between the electronic tag installed on the windshield of the vehicle and the microwave antenna on the ETC lane of the toll station, the computer networking technology is used for background settlement processing with the bank, so that the vehicle can pass the road and bridge toll station without stopping. The purpose of paying the fee.

ETC is particularly suitable for use in highways or bridges and tunnels with heavy traffic. The implementation of non-stop toll, on the one hand, can allow vehicles to pass through at high speed (tens of kilometers to more than 100 kilometers). Compared with the traditional manual toll ticketing in 8 seconds, the non-stop toll greatly accelerates the capacity of expressway toll crossings. It is estimated that compared with manual toll lanes, the capacity of ETC lanes will increase by 4-6 times, which can reduce the waiting in line for vehicles at the toll gates caused by actions such as paying tolls and changing change. On the other hand, the electronic toll collection of highways can reduce the cost of toll management and improve the operating efficiency of vehicles. At the same time, it will also greatly reduce the noise level and exhaust emissions at the toll gates and prevent a few illegal toll collectors from embezzling tolls. , Reduce national losses. Compared with the original manual charging and manual computer charging, the implementation of non-stop toll has obvious advantages. It not only greatly improves the environmental pollution caused by dense vehicles on the road, reduces vehicle congestion, and makes driving safer. More importantly, it will greatly improve the efficiency of bridge toll collection.

2. Advantages of passive radio frequency card (electronic label)

(1) Non-contact. There is no mechanical contact between the passive radio frequency card and the reading and writing equipment, and there is no mechanical damage. There are no sockets for reading and writing equipment (fully sealed), which can adapt to harsh environments such as dust and humidity, with high reliability and long service life.

(2) The response speed is fast. The information exchange of ordinary magnetic cards is only 1~2kb/s, while the information exchange speed of radio frequency identification cards is milliseconds, which supports card reading in high-speed movement.

(3) Good security and confidentiality. Ordinary magnetic cards will lose information when they are interfered by a strong magnetic field, and the information is easy to be stolen, tampered with or forged. Radio frequency identification cards use memory to record information and are not affected by magnetic fields. There is a dedicated circuit module in the card, which can be used for password calculation and two-way password authentication, and has good data security and confidentiality performance.

(4) It can be operated offline. The inductive IC card has good security and confidentiality. It can be used on a network line or can be operated offline from the computer network to avoid network overhead.

(5) Small size, convenient for various packaging forms, and much cheaper than active cards.

3. System composition:

According to its functions, the radio frequency automatic identification non-stop toll system can be divided into automatic identification control subsystem, automatic judgment subsystem, data acquisition subsystem, vehicle detection subsystem, closed circuit television subsystem and signal control subsystem.

Fourth, the installation instructions of the electronic label on the vehicle management system
a) Card issuance: The parking lot management personnel will register the number of the vehicle card that needs to be managed, and issue the electronic label card at the same time. Whether the electronic label card is a valid card will be judged by the user’s system computer when the vehicle owner enters and exits.
b) If the user system needs to perform authorization requirements inside the reader, the system installation manager will enter the registration information into the reader and write the authorization code number into the electronic label. In the reading and writing system, only the card with the authorization code of the system number can be recognized by the corresponding reading and writing device, and then can it be automatically allowed to enter the parking lot. The card reading and writing recognition device without authorization will not read and write and recognize it, and it is not allowed to enter parking lot.
c) The installation position of the electronic label card: stick the numbered card to the corresponding vehicle or install it on the card holder.
Since parking lot equipment is generally installed on the isolation island on the left side of the driveway (on the driver’s side), the electronic label mount should be attached to the left side of the windshield as shown in the figure below. For small cars (including ordinary vans), the electronic label holder should refer to dimensions A, B, and C in the figure below. If it is a large truck or bus, the electronic label should be affixed appropriately according to the position and size of D, E, F in the figure below, and the principle of not obstructing the driver’s line of sight.

The best position of the electronic label: If the antenna is installed on the right side (driver’s side), the label should also be affixed to the right side of the car’s windshield (position A, E). If the antenna is installed directly above the lane, the label should be affixed near the center line of the rearview mirror or windshield of the car (position B, F). If the antenna is installed on the left side (the driving side), the label should also be affixed to the left side of the windshield of the car (position C, D).

Label installation when the car front windshield is equipped with a metal film:

(1) Original front windshield with anti-ultraviolet film: According to European standards, at the position behind the upper reflector of the front windshield (position B), the car manufacturer stipulates that a piece of 120mm long and 70mm wide is free of metal. The bare glass window of the ion component is exclusively for electronic tags, so you only need to install the tags here when installing.
(2) Rear-mounted anti-UV film front windshield: require relatively concealed positions (such as B, E, D positions) to cut out the anti-ultraviolet film out of the bare glass window with a length of 120mm and a width of 70mm during installation, exclusively for electronics For labels.
(3) Use metal tags to install the tags on the license plate, rain cover, etc. outside the car, and install it in a tamper-proof manner.
(4) The way that the driver manually holds the card in the car and reads the card at a long distance.
