At present, the inspection of substation equipment in my country mainly relies on inspection personnel to conduct manual inspections on a regular basis. Due to the constraints of climatic conditions, environmental factors, personnel quality and sense of responsibility and other factors, the inspection quality and in-place rate cannot be guaranteed. At the same time, there is no timely feedback on the information reflecting the operating status and equipment defects, and the hidden dangers of the equipment cannot be discovered in time, which leads to equipment failures. In addition, it is difficult to effectively supervise inspectors using traditional inspection management methods, and equipment accidents caused by improper inspections are not uncommon. Therefore, in order to ensure the smooth progress of line and equipment inspections and reduce unnecessary economic losses, the call for reforming the traditional backward inspection methods is getting higher and higher. How to supervise the in-place and working status of the patrol inspection route and the standardized management of patrol inspection work has become a problem that power grid managers are generally concerned about and urgently need to solve.

1 Solutions

In order to effectively solve the actual problems in the inspection of unattended substation equipment, after full investigation, analysis, and demonstration, combined with the characteristics of the mountainous area, under the careful design and organization of the Shaanxi Electric Power Company and the Baoji Power Supply Bureau, we introduced the “intelligent inspection of substations” System”, combined with the standardized inspection of substations, the system planning, the construction strategy of pilot construction first, and gradually promoted after maturity, successfully solved the problem of equipment inspection quality supervision, and was organically integrated with the power grid safety production management system to eliminate Island operation improves the inspection and operation management level of substation equipment.

The intelligent substation inspection system uses mobile computing platforms (such as PDA) to customize substation inspection services, and realizes in-place supervision through identifiable label auxiliary equipment positioning, so as to guide inspection personnel to implement standardized and standardized work processes, and based on this A professional management system for statistical analysis of inspection results and equipment defects.

2 Project implementation

The system was constructed on a pilot basis in the centralized control station of Fengxian County Bureau in March 2006. After the application was mature in 2006, it was gradually extended to the remaining 7 substations. It has been successfully applied in 8 substations.

3 System characteristics

The system is composed of four parts: the master station system, PDA, barcode reader and electronic tags attached to the equipment. The system adopts advanced and mature computer technology, wireless communication and bar code recognition technology, combined with the standardized inspection of the substation, to minimize the problems of missed inspections and inadequate inspections. The system architecture is shown in Figure 1.

Adopt advanced technology to realize supervision in place. Utilize the most advanced identification technology-RFID radio frequency identification technology (has incomparable advantages of bar code and IC button), convenient to read RFID tag information through portable data collector (PDA + card reader), which perfectly solves the supervision in place.

The system adopts an architecture that combines B/S (browser/server) and C/S (client/server) modes, which can give full play to the characteristics and advantages of the two modes, so that the system has better scalability And interactivity. It is convenient and flexible to integrate with other application systems, and it can also run independently. The seamless integration of the intelligent inspection system and the production management system realizes the in-place supervision of the inspection of substation equipment and the computerized quantitative management of inspection information.

Support inspection services for multiple sites. The system supports the inspection work of various forms of substations such as centralized control stations and individual stations to meet the inspection requirements of different situations.

Customizable and standardized inspection routes and inspection items can meet different types of inspection requirements.

The scientific and reasonable patrol inspection business database design and project supervision have effectively improved the quality of patrol inspection work and ensured the standardization, standardization and informationization of patrol inspection content and results.

The standard defect library and process-based management ideas are convenient for inspectors to identify defects and further improve defect management.

Comprehensive use of a variety of technical means to make the mobile inspection system have strong vitality and application prospects, such as portable handheld terminals, wireless communications, etc.

4 Operation status and application effect

As of the beginning of July 2006, all 8 substations under the jurisdiction of Fengxian Bureau’s centralized control station have begun to use this system for equipment inspection. The system has a friendly interface, convenient operation, stable and reliable operation. The inspectors formulate inspection tasks through the system and upload them to a PDA. The inspectors carry the PDA to carry out inspection tasks according to the inspection tasks, and read the attached files through the card reader. The electronic labels on the equipment are in place to confirm, and the inspection is carried out in accordance with the established standardized process of the system. The functional modules of the system fully meet the needs of inspection business. Up to now, a total of nearly 50 inspections have been completed, monitoring the work status of the inspectors, standardized inspection items and standardized defect input, guiding and monitoring the inspection work content of the inspectors, and avoiding wrong inspections and missed inspections. The occurrence of this effectively guarantees the quality of inspections. As an enterprise manager, you can easily and clearly understand the various links of each inspection, specifically the operation time of each work place in the inspection, the inspection items of each equipment, and so on. The “paperless inspection” mode is realized, which effectively improves the inspection management level of substation equipment, and further ensures the safe and reliable operation of the power grid.
