Museum Intelligent Anti-theft Management System

 1. Demand background

The collections in the museum are worth millions at every turn, and the museum covers a large area with a large flow of people, and is often threatened by thieves. Once the theft occurs, you can only rely on surveillance video playback to find the thief. The thief has already escaped. Therefore, the museum needs a reliable, sensitive and accurate anti-theft system.

Guangzhou Zhongzhi Internet of Things Technology Co., Ltd. uses Internet of Things wireless anti-theft technology to achieve “carpet-type” anti-theft for items. Compared with infrared anti-theft systems, it can identify theft more accurately and greatly reduce false alarms; compared to video The monitoring system has stronger sensitivity, and can send out an alarm immediately when theft occurs, so that an alarm can be sent to the security personnel to track down immediately when theft occurs.

 2. Introduction to application requirements

Figure 1 Schematic diagram of anti-theft

As shown in Figure 1, the anti-theft base station can be installed on the ceiling, doorway, or table of the museum, and the anti-theft label is bound to the exhibits by pasting.

 1. Anti-theft of exhibits

When being lifted/moved without authorization, the system will upload alarm information. In addition, the anti-theft base station will immediately give sound and light reminders, and the system will send text messages to notify security personnel for inspection.

  2. Exhibit inventory

The system will count the exhibits in the exhibition hall once a day. If there is a tag that fails to count continuously for 24 hours, an alarm will be displayed on the system to notify the management staff to inspect the exhibits. The staff can also count the items through the handheld device.

 3. System introduction

The system topology is shown in Figure 2. The anti-theft base station is responsible for receiving the signal sent by the tag and uploading it to the server through the 3G network. No matter when and where, the administrator can access the server via computer or mobile phone to realize remote monitoring.

 1. Anti-theft label

The fixed anti-theft tag, as an “electronic ID card” for anti-theft items, has the characteristics of being compact and easy to use, adopts an environmentally friendly low-power design, has a continuous service life of more than 2 years, uses a dedicated frequency band, and is not susceptible to common wireless interference.

As shown in Figure 3, the anti-theft label is used to bind the exhibits and is fixed with strong foam double-sided tape. It can be attached to the back of the exhibit or placed inside the exhibit. When the bound item is moved/lifted/moved illegally, the system will alarm. The anti-theft tag has an anti-disassembly function. When it is violently removed, the anti-theft tag will prompt the system to alarm. Label appearance size: 70mm×44mm×9mm.

 2. Anti-theft base station

As shown in Figure 4, the anti-theft base station can be installed on the ceiling of the museum to determine the received tag information and specify sound and light alarms. The anti-theft base station covers a radius of 60 meters, and the entire museum can be covered by installing multiple anti-theft base stations. The items in the museum can be counted regularly, and the data can be uploaded to the back-end system via the 3G network. The appearance size of the monitoring base station: 204mm (diameter) × 52mm (height).

As shown in Figure 5, the remote control is used for arming, disarming, and stopping alarms. The remote control uses a dedicated frequency band and is not affected by common remote controls. The remote control uses 2 AAA batteries for power supply, and the appearance size: 90mm*38mm*22mm.

 4. Active card issuer

As shown in Figure 6, the card issuer is connected to the computer through the USB interface, and the ID number of the anti-theft tag is read through non-contact. The administrator then enters the specific installation location of the anti-theft tag and related information about the item into the system, and the ID number of the anti-theft tag Binding, after the label shell is marked, the card issuance is completed. The card issuer can repeatedly issue the anti-theft label, which is convenient for repeated use. Appearance size: 145mm×93mm×35mm.

Figure 9 Alarm information

As shown in Figure 9, when the anti-theft label sends out an alarm signal, the background system will immediately sound an alarm, and the position and label of the alarm label will be displayed in the pop-up window at the bottom right corner of the window. The background color becomes white afterwards.

 4. Inventory information

As shown in Figure 10, the system can query inventory information records, inventory abnormal anti-theft label records, and the background color is red.

 5. Advantages and highlights

Museum Intelligent Anti-theft Management System

 1. Sensitive and accurate alarm system

This system adopts a “carpet-type” anti-theft for items. Compared with an infrared anti-theft system, the system can recognize the theft more accurately and greatly reduce false alarms. Compared with the video surveillance system, it has stronger sensitivity, and the theft will happen immediately. An alarm can be issued.

 2. Cover the dead corners

The anti-theft base station accurately covers every location of the museum, fully reduces the situation that the blind corner cannot communicate, and makes the anti-theft alarm more sensitive.

 3. Tag anti-disassembly

The label has a strong binding with the exhibits, and if it is violently dismantled by thieves, an alarm will be issued.

 4. Remote Management

The management system is connected to the Internet through the 3G network, and the management personnel can log in to the management system through a computer or mobile phone APP anytime and anywhere for remote management and remote monitoring.

 5. Low radiation impact

Relative to passive tags, active tags can provide energy by themselves, and the transmission power of anti-theft base stations and anti-theft tags can be made very small, which is about one-tenth of the radiation of mobile phones.

 6. Long working hours

The anti-theft tag uses wireless technology with low data volume and low power consumption, which can work for a long time and can work for more than 2 years.
