2. System composition

The system consists of an access controller, card reader, induction card, communication converter and patrol management software.

1.Access Controller

In the patrol management system, the role of the access controller is to receive and save the card swiping information of the card reader, and upload the swiping record to the computer via the 485 or TCP/IP communication network. If the system includes access control and patrol functions at the same time, when the patrol card is swiped on the patrol reader, the door will not be opened, but a patrol record will be generated, unless the system sets this card at a certain patrol point When swiping the card on the card reader, the door can be opened and the patrol task can be completed. At this time, the controller will generate two records at the same time, one is the normal door opening record and the other is the patrol record.

If the patrol system uses the existing access control system hardware equipment and communication network, there is no need to consider the hardware equipment, including the controller selection, etc., just install a set of patrol management software. In places without access control points, such as toilets, wall corners, etc., install additional card readers for patrol purposes. The required controller can be directly hung on the existing access control network.

2.Card reader

A normal card reader is a device used to identify ID card numbers. The key reader can recognize the password entered by the user and provide three ways to open the door: swiping card, swiping card + password, and security password. The fingerprint card reader recognizes the user’s fingerprint, and integrates card swipe and password input functions, which can provide more ways to open the door: fingerprint, swipe + fingerprint, fingerprint + password, swipe + fingerprint + password, and so on.

Considering that the patrol points are scattered, it is recommended to use a 485 card reader to facilitate wiring and save equipment costs.

3.Communication converter

If the 485 communication method is adopted, a communication converter needs to be added at one end of the computer to convert the 485 communication signal into a 232 signal that the computer can receive.

4.Patrol management software

Manage patrol cards, patrol personnel, patrol points, patrol routes, arrival time, assign patrol shifts, set patrol plans, and monitor the current patrol status of each patrol route in real time, including the current location of the patrol personnel , Whether to patrol on time, etc.
