FarDistance vehicle access management system
1. System overview
Entering the 21st century, China is entering a period of rapid development in the national economy. As people’s living standards continue to improve, the total number of cars owned has begun to grow rapidly. How to carry out efficient and high-quality intelligent management and fully automatic tracking of vehicles entering and leaving the unit has become more and more important to various administrative departments and enterprises.
This system uses RFID radio frequency identification technology to develop a long-distance vehicle entry and exit intelligent management system, which effectively solves the vehicle management problems faced by various units. It can be applied to the tracking control management of internal vehicle entry and exit unit gates, and can also be applied to internal parking lots. Fully automatic, unattended management.
The system uses the world’s leading low-frequency and long-distance radio frequency identification technology, and a long-distance proximity card is installed on each vehicle. After the remote sensor antenna buried in the entrance and exit receives the sensor card signal, the remote card reader sends the card signal to the channel controller through the Wiegand interface. The channel controller judges the legality of the card. If it is legal, the evil relay on the controller will act and drive the barriers to open, allowing vehicles to enter and exit, otherwise they will not be allowed to pass. A computer can be installed at the door guard to monitor vehicle access records in real time, including vehicle department, driver’s name, license plate, and photo. It can be used with the image capture module to capture real-time photos of the current vehicle and save it in the database when the vehicle enters and exits.
The system realizes the purpose of the driver to quickly enter and exit the unit gate or internal parking lot without stopping, thereby avoiding traffic jams at the gate or the entrance and exit of the parking lot. The long-distance card reader used in the system has its sensing antenna buried under the entrance and exit, and the control channel width can reach 22 meters. It is the only solution in the world that can realize wide channel control. It is especially suitable for wide passages such as bus company parking lots, military vehicle entrance and exit gates, school gates, and power company gates.
This system is at the forefront of the market and has high technical content. Through non-contact information collection and processing of long-distance fast-moving targets, it can realize rapid automatic identification and automatic management of incoming and outgoing vehicles. It is the best upgrade choice for traditional management methods.
2. System composition
The system consists of channel management software, channel controller, door controller, remote card reader, remote proximity card, barrier, vehicle detector, ground sensing coil, remote control, linear stabilized power supply, etc. If you need the function of capturing photos of vehicles entering and exiting, you also need to add a capture module, a video capture card and a camera.
1. Channel management software
(1) Manage vehicle information, including vehicle photos, department, license plate number, and driver’s name.
(2) Modify the parameters of the channel controller and monitor the operation of the controller in real time.
(3) Real-time monitoring of vehicle entry and exit conditions, and can query and print historical records.
2. Channel Controller
It is used to receive the card signal from the card reader and judge the legality of the card number. If the card number is legal, the above relay will act to drive the barrier to open. If it is illegal, the alarm relay will act, which can drive an audible and visual alarm.
The controller communicates with the computer via 485 or TCP/IP, receives the card data downloaded from the computer and uploads the card swiping record to the computer.
3.Long-distance card reader
A card reader device used to read long-distance cards, and pass the read card number to the controller via Wiegand.
4.Long-distance card
Each card has a unique identification code, which corresponds to each vehicle.
5.Barrier
Under normal circumstances, the barriers of the barriers are lowered and the barriers are closed, and vehicles are prohibited from entering and exiting. After receiving the opening signal of the gate opening relay on the controller, the barrier of the barrier is raised, and the vehicle is allowed to enter and exit.
6.Vehicle detector
A device that detects the existence of a vehicle. When a vehicle is pressed on the ground induction coil connected to the vehicle detector, the inductance value of the ground induction coil will change. Generally, ground induction coils are buried under the barriers to prevent smashing cars.
7.Door controller
It is used to receive the card number from the card reader and pass it to the channel controller through the 485 interface.

Fourth, the implementation plan
1.Management software installation
The database and communication server are installed on the unit server, and the channel management module and monitoring module are installed at the same time to facilitate system debugging and maintenance. At the gate guard, a computer is installed and connected to the unit’s local area network to monitor the entry and exit of vehicles in real time. If there are multiple gates, multiple computers can be installed to separately monitor the entry and exit of vehicles at this gate.
2.device installation
The channel controller, the long-distance card reader and the stabilized power supply are installed in a chassis. The case is fixed on the wall of the gate guard room. The long-distance sensing antennas are respectively buried at the entrance and exit, about 3-5 meters away from the barrier. The long-distance induction antenna uses a 6mm2 solid round copper wire, and a set of tuning capacitors are connected in parallel at the two ends of the coil. The size of the capacitor depends on the size and shape of the sensing antenna. Connect the induction coil and the remote card reader through a 2-core shielded wire. as the picture shows.

The induction antenna is generally buried at a distance of 5-6cm from the ground, and filled with fine sand, and then poured with cement or epoxy resin. To protect the coil, a rubber hose with a diameter of 5-7mm is used to protect the coil.
The size of the antenna is usually 2×2 meters. If the width of the channel exceeds 3 meters, more antennas need to be installed. Different types of long-distance card readers can be selected to connect more antennas. For example, CR1A-MUX-8MS can connect up to 16 antennas, and the channel width that can be covered exceeds 22 meters. If multiple antennas are installed, the distance between the antenna and the antenna is generally 10-15cm.
The Wiegand output of the remote card reader is connected to the Wiegand interface of the controller, and the controller is connected to the unit’s local area network to communicate with the channel management program through the communication server installed on the server. The regulated power supply supplies power to the channel controller and the long-distance card reader at the same time. If the case is installed outdoors, a waterproof case can be used.
3.Proximity card fixed
It is recommended to use the TC3A proximity card for vehicles. If used for personnel, TC1A is recommended.
The biggest difference between TC3A proximity card and TC1A is that TC3A proximity card can be fixed on a metal surface. In this way, it is convenient to fix the proximity card behind the vehicle license plate or inside the front bumper. In addition to being fixed with super glue, the TC3A proximity card has 4 screw holes, which can be used for fixing.
If the test results show that there is almost no interference at the scene, you can also stick the TC3A card directly in the pocket of the front door of the vehicle. But it needs to be tested to confirm this scheme.
4.Actual operation
In the computer management software, add department, vehicle and driver information respectively, and assign a card to each vehicle. The card number is printed on each long-distance card, just input the card number directly into the software. After adding the channel controller in the software, the card data can be transferred to the controller in a centralized manner. At this time, you can enter and exit the gate by swiping your card.
If the passage of the gate is very wide, such as 10 meters, there may be multiple cars reading the card and entering and exiting the gate at the same time. This needs to be programmed and implemented using the PLC function on the SK800 channel controller. Otherwise, it may happen that a car in front passes through the barrier, and the car that has read the card in the back cannot pass through the barrier.
If the vehicle stays under the barrier for a long time, the barrier will never fall. When the vehicle leaves the barrier, the ground sensor installed under the barrier will automatically detect and give a vehicle leaving signal to the barrier. The barriers automatically fall off the bars without other signals.
Once the proximity card on the vehicle is read by the card reader, the monitoring software on the computer immediately displays the information of the vehicle, including photos. The guard can judge whether the vehicle entering and exiting is consistent with the photo in the computer.
Five, system function
1. Each vehicle can only enter the passage with a legal card.
2. Long-distance card reading, no need to bring the card close to the card reader, no need to get off the car. The card reader quickly recognizes the card (speed up to 60 km/h).
3. The card reader antenna is buried under the floor of the entrance and exit, which is convenient for construction and does not damage the existing environment and layout.
4. Can control 22 meters wide channel.
5. The system can be run offline. When the management software is started, the card swiping record stored in the controller is automatically uploaded.
6. Different entry and exit time zone tables can be set for each vehicle, as well as the effective date and expiration date of the card.
7. Download the card to the controller quickly, and the time for the card to take effect does not exceed 1 second.
8. Report the loss of the card.
9. It shares the same database with the access control system to realize the modern management mode of “one card, one database and one line”.
10. Unit vehicles can be tracked, such as which vehicles are in the company and which vehicles are out. You can query the time of entry and exit of each vehicle.
11. Holiday control. Can be set via software or controller keyboard (time menu) [开门时区表] .The control setting of major holidays, minor holidays, major holidays and minor holidays can be carried out, and the dates of major and minor holidays can be set arbitrarily
12. Open the door remotely. The barrier of the gate can be opened remotely through the electronic map on the computer.
13. Automatic door opening function. The gate can be set to open the door in a certain period of time. Such as rush hour.
14. Real-time vehicle picture display. When a vehicle enters the gate, the entry and exit information of the vehicle will be displayed on the computer at the same time for management personnel to browse and check.
15. Provide anti-passback function and anti-tailing function. When a vehicle with a legal card enters the gate, it can only enter it a second time after exiting the gate. Prevent legitimate users’ cards from being used by other vehicles and entering the channel. The anti-tailing function is to prevent an illegal vehicle from trailing behind a legal vehicle and entering the gate together before the barrier falls.
