1. The current challenges facing China’s garment manufacturing industry
China is one of the world’s largest textile and clothing production countries. According to customs data, in 2007, the cumulative total of national textile and clothing exports was 171.2 billion US dollars, an increase of 18.9% year-on-year. From the data point of view, textile exports still maintain a continuous growth trend.
But we should also see that new changes have also taken place in the domestic and international economic situation. Uncertainties in the external economy have increased. The RMB has appreciated by more than 6%, the export tax rebate rate has been reduced by 2%, the loan interest rate has been increased by 14.48%, and the pressure on labor costs has continued to rise. The country’s tight macro policies have also brought industry development. Pressure. Since 2008, thousands of garment factories have closed down, and the garment industry must use new technologies to transform them in order to adapt to the development of society.
Several factors currently affecting the apparel industry are shown in the following table:
2. Changes in the apparel industry bring us opportunities
Faced with such a situation, we should see that the technology of the garment manufacturing industry must be innovated, and the production process must be transformed. If it remains in the original production process, it means being eliminated, let alone creating benefits. The current changes in the domestic and international situation should be seen as a comprehensive reshuffle of China’s garment manufacturing industry. We should seize this opportunity and actively accelerate industrial upgrading through innovation. We should not miss this opportunity at a critical juncture of historical development. .
From the perspective of the development process of the clothing industry, the information management process of clothing is mainly divided into the following four parts:
After half a century of evolution, the above four processes have gradually begun to popularize the automation stage. The first few stages are inefficient, waste manpower, and cannot update the production situation in real time, which will inevitably be eliminated by history. Therefore, the use of RFID technology to collect data and realize automated management will be the mainstream of information management in the clothing industry in the future.

3. System architecture diagram
Yishili clothing RFID system mainly uses RS-485 network for data transmission, uniformly collects the data of a group of data collectors (ER-L33) through the clothing controller, and then transmits the data through the switch to the data server PC for data processing . The number of data collectors that the clothing controller can support is related to the on-site environment, and generally can support 30 to 50 data collectors. With the function of the switch, the configuration of multiple production lines can be realized.

(1) One production line uses a set of ER-L33 data collector terminals, and each terminal is connected to the controller with a twisted pair;
(2) After multiple controllers are connected, connect to the clothing controller, and the controller will process and upload the information of each terminal;
(3) The controller converts RS485 to TCP/IP, connects to the router, and connects with the server PC. The server PC can process the information returned by multiple controllers at the same time.
