Goodyear uses
Logic (Psion Teklogix)
7535’s RD7950 UHF code reader to track and control its three NASCAR top tire series in 2006, including the Nextel Cup series, Busch series and Craftsman Truck series.
43 cars participate in the Nextel Cup series and each car consumes about 10 sets of tires per race. Tracking all tires will be a challenging and time-consuming task. Therefore, Goodyear’s goal is to optimize the process to track nearly 2,000 tires from production to delivery to the team, and then finalize the handling of the tires after the race.
Goodyear decided to use Psion Teklogix’s RFID solution in all competitions in 2006. This decision was made based on a successful test on the Miami Highway during the final quarter of the Craftsman Truck Series in 2005. That was the first time Goodyear’s tires were equipped with RFID solutions to participate in the competition.
“We are very excited to be able to
Logic (Psion Teklogix)
Cooperate to improve our RFID tracking solution. This is the first application in the competition industry. “Said Greg Stucker, Goodyear Tire Marketing Director. ”

The long-lasting durability of 7535 and RD7950 UHF RFID Reader enables us to deal with logistical problems well and complete our tire rental and sales plan on the National Automobile Racing Association of the United States. ”
The new RFID solution enables Goodyear to quickly track all tires and ensure its accuracy, thus ensuring the return of the tires within one hour after the end of the race. “We are honored to provide an industry leader like Goodyear with

RFID solutions. “America
