1. Program overview
Due to the characteristics of RFID contactless identification, long life, convenient use, and high efficiency, the use of RFID in manufacturing applications has become a general trend. Through the application of RFID in the production line, accurate tracking of products can be achieved, as well as rapid statistics of workstations and processes, which can greatly increase the speed of the company’s production information collection and improve the company’s information control capabilities.
Considering the overall cost and objectives, the system adopts RFID low-frequency technology, which can not only realize the wireless identification of items, but also the price of RFID products is relatively economical.
①Place the RFID tag on the product. The tag is in the form of a low-frequency key tag, small in size, and waterproof and dustproof. The tag has a built-in RFID chip, which complies with the EM4100 standard.
② When the product is circulating in each station, the operator can read the RFID tag on the RFID reader at the station.
③The RFID reader adopts RS485 industrial bus networking mode to communicate with the background server in real time. When the reader reads the RFID tag information, it will send the data back to the server in real time. In this way, when the production is too long or when the production ends, the system can timely collect the required information.
④For the reader networking, multiple servers can be used, or a multi-serial port card can be installed on one server. In this way, a RS458 network is connected to each serial port. Generally, 128 RFID readers can be connected to each network.
